I look at it like this. They are far more likely to have nearly all Xbox owner drop 10 bucks when a new game comes out than selling a 60 dollar game per person. Nearly 30 million people dropping 10 bucks to play sea of thieves vs the alternative. I think they’ll come out on top.

Netflix,Hulu and Amazon all do the same thing. Though first party titles have not been removed at all and likely won’t be.
