No my dude. No reasonable person is saying that anyone playing this game is as bad as Hitler. What I’m saying is that if you choose to buy and play the game, you care more about playing the game than you do about JK’s bigotry. And that’s fine if that’s the decision you want to make, but own it.

This is all colossal shit show, but the fact that there’s even a significant number of voices standing up against JK’s transphobia is heartening in a way. It reminds me very much of the anti-gay movements in the late 90's and early 00's - hopefully a sign that yet another form of bigotry is dying. 

Oh, and unless the end of the game is “the literally enslaved house elves rise up and kill all the wizards and we start an alternate timeline where harry potter was never born,” I’m not interested in hearing how it ends.

Since most reviews of this game seem to be “the story is kind of bland, enemy variety is limited, combat is ok, it’s a big buggy, but they did a really good job making an explorable Hogwarts so 9/10" I highly doubt having the story spoiled is gonna be a deal breaker.

I dunno. A $70 Xbox game is gonna be $40 or less in a year, and less used. A $70 nintendo game is gonna be $70 in a year and $60 used. Seems like a pretty big difference.

It’s a sliver of good news that, on balance, we seem to have rejected the “friend zone” as being a thing. A decade ago you’d see tons of posts agreeing with the guy being “friend zoned” and insulting the woman. Now, on most mainstream sites, people just laugh at the guy. 

That prefab house factory level still sticks in my mind as such a great, original level idea.

Yeah this is gonna be the first full price game I’ve bought since Elden Ring. I LOVE Dead Space and think 1 is a stronger game than 2 anyway. It’s just too bad they only made 2 games.
