Mine is a manual and it seems to be a pretty common issue for 2nd gear to not engage all the time. Its also a northeast car that made its way to Texas, so the rot won’t get much worst, but there is some.

Can confirm, picked up an 8th gen Civic this past June and it has dreadful sight lines. Add to that lethargic throttle response, a second gear that grinds more often than I like, I’m looking forward to the day I finish and flip it.
NoScript if you want more granularity and control. Runs real smooth now.
I’m doing my part! I own 4 cars and 7 bicycles. I commute 3-4 days a week by train/bike (train in the morning, ride all the way home), 1-2 with car (days when I do after work rides). One way distance is 18 miles.
So... bring back the Cressida too? It’s too bad they axed the GS, could’ve made a modular RWD platform for the Supra and GS
Seeing this makes me guilty for not wrenching on my ‘82 Mercedes. Been stockpiling parts but haven’t committed to getting her back up and running yet. At least the car resides in the garage and isn’t getting trashed by the elements (though not pretty from elemental damage from the past).

AND THE TRUTH IS REVEALED! I knew something was off about the Evo since I first saw it. I remember the TYC logo (and the APC one on the GT-R’s hood which I found equally weird, a Pep-Boys-esque parts maker on a GT-R?). I always thought that Lancer was just a US Spec Lancer (because of the tail lights) with a Evo front…

I guess it depends on location, but I’ve had good luck going on weekdays after work. At most, I’ve only had to wait for a car or 2. Alternatively, early in the morning when the pumps first open.
Meanwhile the only interaction I had with another driver like this was (accidentally cut a guy off because the sun was glaring):
While not common, I’ve seen my fair share of them. 3 in Structural Blue (guessing 2 of them were the same ones since it was on 2 spots on the same street in consecutive days), a metallic brown one, a black one, 2 gray ones and a red one.
So... its basically vtec for electric motors?
As others have said, the MBTex is bulletproof and will last a very long time. The part that gets me is it has a blue dashboard with no cracks on it. Something about blue interiors that cracks so easily on Mercedes of the era. My car is so bad, even the door cards are cracked!

Jalopnik: Drive less or die.
Neutral: Been bike commuting to/from work for since October 2015 (5.5 miles one way, to 10.8 miles one way, now 23 miles one way). I now live in an area with commuter rail access so it is a quick 2 mile jaunt to the station and ride my bike all the way home (said 23 miles) after work. I’ve only driven 3,600 miles this…
To further elaborate on this, all variants of the -100 and -200 had the small hump (freighters will only have 3 windows in the hump where passenger variants had a full row), but the freighter version of -300, -400 and the -8F also have small humps. The freighter version with a big hump are formerly passenger variants…
I own a German car that’s 2 years older than me.... 1982 Mercedes 300SD. Just maintenance issues with a car of its age. (seals, flex discs, suspension...)
I got really lucky when I bought my house last year. Built in 2000 but no HOA and it shows, The amount of interesting cars and gearheads is amazing. I have the equivalent of David Tracy but with Z cars (3 Z31 coupes, 1 Z31 convertible and 1 Z32 convertible), on another street there’s a guy with several Mercedes and…
