Uh, that doesn’t work. If people are paid more, items need to cost more; so you get a raise but you still can’t afford any more food than before. If people are paid the same but food costs less, they can buy more food. So you’re working long and hard but at least you aren’t hungry. The animals still get screwed,

What?? Last night 2.5lbs of chicken breasts cost me $7.50. And that’s at the cheep store. Stores in my area must be screwing us.

It’s certainly reasonable and manageable. Anyone who doesn’t like it can buy a bigger place to live.

Just get an Uber ride for the return trip.

Yes, you COULD live like that, it just wouldn’t be pleasant for you. I actually can’t live without food, though, so I do what I have to do.

Having formerly been poor and homeless, I can totally understand why they make those choices.

To everyone talking about space:

>You have exactly $35 to spend on groceries to get you through the next week

Well, this was true when commuting meant you couldn’t get anything done. But nowadays I actually prefer to use public transportation rather than drive myself because it means I can do work of some type while commuting. It may take twice as long to get where I’m going, but in the end I get more free time.
