Growing up in South India, where summers can get insanely high, one of my grandparents' way of cooling down the dry afternoons was to hang a shade of vetiver outside their room and splash it with water. As the dry air wafts through it, it picks up the moisture and the sweet sweet smell of the grass and cool the rooms.

This is interesting. the way I do it right now is that I have assigned a swipe gesture to my dock. I am using Launcher Pro. To this gesture I have assigned Google Gesture App. So I can launch the Gesture App any time, from where I can pull any thing I want.

I never pick up calls that don't have a Name associated with it. Never. If I get a call from a number that I don't know, I cut it. Then I check the first 3 digits. If it is from a city I know I have no contacts from, I add it to a contact called Spam. Spam currently has 50 phone numbers. The contact Spam is set to go

I am an Indian. My aunt is big into meditation and other esoteric Indian practices. She barely needs more than 3 hours of sleep per night and I have never seen her anything less than a hyperactive human. She is 70.

Tell me about it. I went there last summer and I cooked in my tent and bag. Finally ended up sleeping half naked outside the tent, staring the stars and shit scared of rattle snakes that I had seen earlier at the Nature Station!!

Washing off oil with plan water will leave your hair oily for a couple of days (that's how you will find many south Indians even today back home). You need to something to take it off if you don't want the smell on you. Shampoo also works.

1) Went camping last weekend to Land Between the Lakes and got a lot of closeup shots of birds of prey at the Nature Station. I'm kicked about developing that. Missed the supermoon as it was cloudy, but had a great time around the camp fire.

None of the choices are apt for me. I like bigger screens because of all the things a big screens afford me - videos, nicer comics, etc. When I am at work, I leave the phone out and it's the same at home. When I am on the road, walking, one hand always guards it. I have rethought the way I handle a phone. What I have

I have been using Dolphin HD for months now and really don't see a need to jump ship. Is FF better? I'm not really dying for synced browsing. I rarely have to switch instantly to my phone and continue where I left off from my desktop.

The soft music by Darshan Ambient.

I use a Haro hand crank grinder to grind my beans along with the Aeropress. The literature that came with my Aero claimed that the entire stack of 500 filter papers would amount to less than one newspaper and that I shouldn't feel guilty about using them. I normally use it twice before disposing it off.

Sadly, I carry my house and mail keys, gym access card in my wallet along with my credit cards and some cash.

I think I am failing to see the logic here. If you have a number to block, why not just block it? Why should one call the scammer, wait for him to bring up your information, etc? Also, if you have an Android phone, you can create a contact named Spam and set it such that all calls are sent straight to voice mail. I

I ditched the "gas station" percolator coffee that I had been drinking for years and invested (note the word) in some coffee making equipment. To have the freshest beans possible, I got a table top roaster. I roast the green beans until after the second pop and NOT until they are black. That gives a burnt flavor and

Ya. that's true, but it has been permanently rooted now.

I am curious, though. What about the HTC ROM is different from stock or CM7?

Thanks, but I am very happy with CM7. I don't see a need to switch at this time. Maybe if I get bored :)

I did two awesome things in the past 2 weeks. 1) I rooted my Tmobile G2 and loaded Cyanogen Mod 7 ROM onto it. I am liking everything about it, especially, the special sauce of CM7.

I just purchased my own table top roaster, hand grinder and an Aerobie Press to make single cup coffees. I have been foolishly drinking black liquids under the name of coffee so far! Nothing like freshly made coffee.
