The Motorola Milestone comes with an app called MapMyIndia that offers turn-by-turn navigation in Indian cities and big towns. I guess MapQuest is similar to it.

I am a software saint, but a media pirate. I watch a few American TV soaps and many Hollywood movies, and there's no way on earth to legitimately purchase them in this small Indian town where I live. Also, nearly everything you could possibly want to watch is shared in our hostel DC++ hubs (over 50TB of data), so yeah

VOTE: Seesmic Web.

@Learning to Hack Life: You can use . anywhere in your Gmail address, and set up a filter for it. For example, if your Gmail is harrypotter@gmail.com, you can sign up for accounts using something like harry.potter@gmail or ha.rrypotter@gmail etc, and filter those mails into a separate label.

@Midnite1: 1%? Seriously? India is well behind the US, but saying less than 1% of the country has wireless services shows you're not exactly very bright.

Why does it cost anyone to receive texts? It's so stupid.

6000 is not really that much. I mean, my house probably has a thousand mosquitoes any time of the day during early autumn and late spring (I'm from India).

I don't find that option yet, so I guess it's rolling out slowly. I do hope they add support for chatting and uploading photos in https mode, because these don't work presently.

@Mars478: Personal preference. A lot of people do just fine with Windows 7.

@ursa: I had an HP Pavilion, and it used to get hot like insane. But then they're still the no.1 PC vendors for some reason - we're likely the minority here.

@hardly_working: Actually, aluminium is the only thing superior in the MBA and it's not 500 bucks costlier than plastic.

@grindking: I like OS X, but I see absolutely no reason to pay so much for the hardware, when the only extra thing you get is some extra beauty.

@Dancing Milkcarton: Last time I checked, it was still a computer and worked like one. Beauty of a computer doesn't matter much to me (and I'm sure, a lot of other people) as long as it has acceptable looks and works as it's supposed to. :)

@vinod1978: We have all our preferences. I prefer Windows 7 myself (though I haven't used OS X all that much). The only thing that drives me insane about Windows is the font rendering.

The new HP Pavilion dm1-z is equally powerful, not insanely overweight, and costs less than half the base MBA. With a 64GB SSD (which is apparently an option while buying), it'll probably cost 550 bucks and provide more battery life.

Search for 'antispyware' and you'll find antispyware.com right there towards the top in both Google and Bing. This site has been selling rogueware for ages, but it's still top of the results. That is just plain ridiculous and I don't understand how it keeps staying there. Hasn't a single Googler searched for

I only use Windows computers, so I just grab a portable copy of Chrome portableapps.com and put it in my Dropbox folder. The portable app updates usually a few days after the main app does, but that's a small trade-off if you ask me.
