I switched to Google's DNS too. I'm not experiencing or expecting any browsing boosts, but it's always cool to use something from Google. And 8.8.8.8 is pretty cool! Not ugly like those offered by OpenDNS. :)

Thanks a whale for sharing all these tips at one place! :)

@bpuli: Well Google already said that in their presentation. :|

@UGAdawg: Aren't you paying your ISP now? I wonder how your comment appeared from nowhere...

@daron: Agree. :|

Btw, who is Idan Avraham? TechCrunch said Sundar Pichai and Mark Someone (no offense meant!) were giving the presentation. Sergey Brin dropped in later.

Google is totally ignoring the fact that a vast majority of PC users in developing countries like India and China don't have high-speed, unlimited Internet access. Heck, I don't even think everyone in the US has got blazing fast connections!

@mclifford82: I guess Google doesn't want the Wave user-base to explode at the moment (which would happen if everyone started handing 8 invites). In any case, it's making Wave dull and boring at the moment. :|

Dropbox is gonna sweep this poll. It is the most intuitive and seamless of the lot. #onlinebackup

I'd like to add another thing - one should use a safe web-surfing tool like LinkScanner or WOT. These don't do much, but they can keep you off most websites which exploit Flash and Reader etc. #security

@Ashutosh: Sorry I meant to say "taste" not "test". I'm so dumb. :| #firefox

I had my first test of Internet in June, '06, and I came to know about Firefox (1.5 at that time) about a month later. I've used almost all big and small browsers out there, but I've used FF about 90% of the time since. It's wonderful. Hopefully, it'll keep on getting more popular. :] #firefox

Just wanted to say that Avira is the company, AntiVir is the product. #antivirus

Yeah, the name used to confuse the hell out of me before. I mean, there are like Google apps everywhere. #gmail

You got my answer in your question.

I'm a sleeping machine (8+ hours daily), but I'm still a flu machine (2-4 times at least every year). :(
