There was a short wave of Laserdisc games in the early 1980s that had a similar concept - I remember one used some of the flying-through-clouds footage from Firefox. And of course there was Dragon’s Lair, which was naff but the princess was sexy.

That one sketch had a bigger budget that all of Dr Who in the 1980s.

But it’s a joke, isn’t it? Of course the drivers are Chinese, this happened in China. The joke is that it sounds racist on the surface, but in reality it’s just an absurdly literal observation. It subverts our expectations, and that’s the essence of comedy.

Was the Nissan Figaro a K-car? They’re surprisingly widespread here in the UK for a limited edition import, but I’ve seen a Cappuccino and the Figaro looks larger.

If there was ever a car for snorting cocaine from the chest of a floozy, that is one of them. Or alternatively I picture David Bowie circa 1975 sitting on his own, peering out of the windows, nervous that the FBI is watching him.

The Planes, Trains, and Automobiles gag is further up the page, and spoiled this one a bit. But it’s a good effort, B+.

Those seats look surprisingly comfortable. A part of my mind wondered why everybody looks so exhausted in those photos - and then another part of my mind said “because a few hours ago they were on foot patrol in Helmand”.

When I was very young I recall that Pluto was actually inside the orbit of Neptune - from February 1979 until February 1999 it was slightly closer to the sun. But the orbit is tilted relative to the other planets, so I have no idea if this means it would have been easier to reach. Presumably the Voyager / Pioneer…

I miss F1 Rejects. It was funny and full of fascinating trivia.
