I realize I’m like, the only person in the world who seems to care about this, but can we talk about how “Girl” is still used ubiquitously to refer to grown women?

One of the authors featured has gone so far as to try on a bra so he didn’t make any obvious mistakes that might throw female readers out of the story.

If a female character is written so that she’s hot and not much more than a mirror to a male character, then it’s obvious a guy is the author.

I work in STEM. My department has a very regimented pay scale, raises for each level are fixed and there is no opportunity for negotiation. I always thought this was great and straightforward, especially given the studies and work re women/negotiating for money.
