Spider-Man, Iron Man and SHIELD are more global heroes while the Defenders tend to stay domestic. In addition, the Hand was trying to keep a comparatively low profile.

The thing with Defenders et al is that it’s not all that clear when they happen and how spaced out they are. Did SHIELD exist at this point? Publicly? Secretly? Are they in the midst of the Inhuman / ATCU phase, or is this when SHIELD was being hunted and there was no one in place to attend to such things, or when…
Ironic, since i dont remember the last time SDCC had anything to do with goddamn comics.
In their next move, San Diego Comic Con also trademarks the term “San Diego” and sues the entire city.
This seems really counter-intuitive to me.
That hardly seems fair, given that SDCC is far more about movies, TV, and gaming these days than it is about comics. So if anything, they should be the ones to change their name.
Comic KHAAAAAAAAAN!
All this usually means Paramount will not spend much on marketing and will bury the film in the off season.
I mean I do. Stuff like Atomic Blonde or Get Out is why I enjoy going to the movies. I can see fun easy entertainment any time. But you may have also have a point.
You know, people always say that “Oh, if X does well, we’ll have more thoughtful sci-fi movie”. I heard it for Moon, for Interstellar, for Arrival and even for Ex Machina. But somehow, even when the movies do pretty well, this big utopian boom of smart sci-fi movies never arrive.
Kinda wish I’d followed this old fuck just so I could mash the button.
Fear and Loathing in Wakanda
Seems pretty obvious, but hey.
My first Doctor, I miss those days of watching Tom Baker’s Doctor on a Saturday afternoon on PBS back in the 1980's. When he regenerated into Peter Davidson my friends and I were in shock, what happened to our Doctor???
A consistent DCEU is a consistently terrible DCEU.
Er, with a couple of those the smile IS intimidating.
I would add a 3) (spoilers, though): Superman actually felt like Superman, for the first time in these movies. He smiled! He acted likeable and nice instead of frowning and constipated!
