I don’t think it’s going to have any impact on the really great films or the really bad films. The great Pixar films aren’t going to be dragged down by more critics heaping praise on it. Uwe Boll is in no danger of shooting up the Tomato Meter.

But it might make a difference for those films in the middle ground or

It should be good for cartoons in general if Netflix can accomplish the goal of being a force in the world of cartoons. Would be so nice if cartoons had to compete for viewers instead of just assuming people will watch because they are one of the few places left showing cartoons.

I know Paramount is pretty franchise desperate right now since they didn’t get in on the superhero craze, but yea Star Trek needs to sit for a while. There isn’t a we have a great idea for a story with interesting characters but we must crank out something with brand recognition.

From a power set it seems like Cyborg is a better fit for Teen Titans than for Justice League.

Or they could just always pull a Marvel/Disney and say is there any reason this character has to be white? If you asked the people who only got into superheroes in the past ten years what race is Nick Fury they would say black because they weren’t around for when the character was white.

I was hooked on the Supergirl show from the trailers as well. It was all the bright hopeful optimistic stuff I wasn’t getting from the DC movies. I honestly don’t care if other people call it corny or hokey I just like the sort of hero that takes their power and tries to make the world a better place just because it’s

Between the change of tone they seem to be pushing and now news that Klingons are going to look different than season one it does seem like they didn’t have the Trekkies signing up for CBS All Access like they thought so now they need to do something. But instead of admitting that the tone and designs were wrong it is

The series is working in a lot of nods to the live action show not just the past comic books.  Issue 4 has a device fans of the TV series should recognize.

I wasn’t looking for perfection when I started watching the show so I guess I wasn’t that bothered by the flaws. Since I had not read the books it was the fun of discovering a new world and it’s rules as the episodes went along.

DC seems to have the problem of they want to go way too far one way or the other with no real middle ground. Either is so grim, dark, gritty, and damn serious Joker gas couldn’t crack a smile or it’s so zany fluff that Lobo starts to look like a deep serious character. Either we are drowning in a character’s angst and

Not just with Teen Titans. Cartoon Network used to have shows with a nice animation budget and well written enough that it could be enjoyed by a wide range of people. But then the network axed things like Teen Titans, Sym-Bionic Titan, the Thundercats reboot, so that the network could fill their time slots with cheap

Given how rare it is to find something we haven’t found before I guess all the new finds are a surprise. Not so much a case of we didn’t think there are rungs on the evolutionary ladder but more of a can’t believe we got lucky enough to find it.

Maybe Godzilla can fight the dragon who tried to copy Godzilla’s breath weapon.

It sounds like they really want G1 fans to feel like the production team wants those fans to be a part of the fun. Which is a nice break from the past production team that acted like G1 fans could take a long walk off a short space bridge.

Never really been a fan of Venom so I’m not sure there is anything a movie can do to improve the character.

Yeah, yeah, but are we going to get cool looking Klingons this time or are we stuck with completely unappealing Klingons where the actors can’t emote or speak properly under six inches of make up effects?

A forever wait, but damn it looks full of Venture goodness.

Once you take out the grim dark stuff that I’m not a fan of I wonder just how much new stuff there will be to watch? Heck I dropped Hulu for the summer because there wasn’t enough new stuff.

But who does beautiful animation any more?  It’s sort of like everyone finds a way to cheap out these days.

It kind of seemed like Kong Skull Island was setting up some of the bull they will have to pull to make it more than the fight between Indiana Jones and the swordsman in the market.
