It seems like the big difference between Marvel/Disney and Warner/DC is being prepared to fail or not.

Yea the mission was the wrong sort of mission for the Suicide Squad. You send the Squad some place superheros can’t go, to pull a job too dirty for heroes to do, or to steal something.

No one ever wants to give the marketing departments any credit even when those marketing departments knock it out of the ball park.

The title might as well be “Older actor points out the obvious that studios scramble to exploit hot trends at the box office”.

Other than space ships and alien planets where you can breath they really aren’t enough alike to get into a fan war over the two. They could make up a Star Wars vs Lost in Space fan war and it would be just as silly.

Coming to TV. So in other words fair warning about the next big thing in cosplay.

It does feel like it depends on when you ask people if they are feeling superhero fatigue.

Took a stop watch with me to see just how much Joker was in Suicide Squad and it’s roughly 10 minutes. It’s a little hard to time out because there are scenes where Joker is out of the frame so camera on the Joker is under 10 minutes. Also the scenes where he’s disguised that might add little more time but I’m not

I think the worry for Hollywood should be just how badly does China need Hollywood? With more wildly successful home grown films it seems like there is less of a need for Chinese movie theaters to fill up their screens with Hollywood movies.

So dark movies aren’t selling enough tickets, just look at the box office number over past few years. But instead of saying okay grim, dark, gritty, down, depressing, and joyless aren’t putting butts in movie theater seats the solution from Warner Brothers seems to be we can somehow magically force people to like the

Yes the same thing was once said about another famous British fictional character yet Sherlock Holmes just keeps being a part of pop culture.

I think it could be due to the nature of the scenes that were shot with King Shark vs the type of shots they were going to do with Killer Croc in Suicide Squad.

If Wikileaks had released the social security numbers and credit card numbers of ordinary people who contributed to the Bush elections then people would be upset about the disregard by Wikileaks for collateral damage because they were too lazy to edit.

I agree that Warner Brothers had the better plan.

Let’s hope China sends us their best films instead of how Hollywood keeps hoping that China can bail out the Hollywood stinkers. But more film choices sounds good for the people that love movies.

Yea it is a case of just fixing one or two things wasn’t going to make it a great film.

I don’t think it will because it was born out of some pretty crazy conspiracy theories and once people have gone off the deep end into conspiracy territory it’s hard to get them to grasp reality.

Just feels weird that when other films are attempting to capture a comic book look in live action that Warner Brothers was nah let’s just throw the character’s look out the window. What’s going to sell is making Harley look like some sort of street walker hooker.

Oh poor Sony. It seems like they didn’t get the memo that if you want to get people excited for what you are doing you release your cool stuff on the internet like Warner Brothers did.

With the way Legends of Tomorrow has been going when the head line said Legion of Doom I almost expected this.
