I think it’s a bit different. Spore was attempting to scratch an itch people might not think they had. Sort of tough marketing the concept.

I’m 5’6” but due to either my build or my personality I somehow come off as even shorter. I’ve often wondered if so many of those rejections of being too nice of a guy or other excuses were just women not wanting to say I’m too short and too slight.

I’m starting to look at the NFL in the same way as I look at the WWE, more sports entertainment than an actual competition.

I think legacy depends on what Tom Brady does after he retires from the field. Right now if you aren’t a Patriots fan it’s far too easy to hate Brady but no one throws the football in the NFL forever.

Religion became another tool for control. If you were a good little slave you would break free from your suffering with a paradise after your death but if you were bad even worse torment waited you after death. It gave masters the threat of you will burn in hell if you use suicide to escape from slavery.

I agree if you can’t be a public servant to all the people then you don’t need to be in government work or run for office in the first place.

While Jerry Richardson does have more than enough questionable in his past it’s kind of hard to paint the guy a certain way when he’s also the guy that gave $10,000 to each of the families that lost loved ones in the Charleston church shooting.

Now if they could just teach Hollywood how to put on pants on that Thing.

If you aren’t going to eat it and it isn’t harming you then hell yea it’s disgusting. I could see hunting wild hogs since they are such an ecological disaster and people will eat them. But killing wolves for no good reason is all sorts of wrong and I think it takes a pretty evil person to do something like that.

The best I can figure is that big game trophy hunters need to spend some quality time with a skilled mental health expert. Something just has to be broken inside if you see a large magnificent animal and your thought is I want to kill it just to watch it die.

Would not be shocked if cats didn’t have something to do with the fall of the Roman Empire. Because you can have cats or you can have nice things but you can’t have both.

I’ve listened to a lot of story tellers and no one could tell a story better than Piper. I had one my top five hangovers before his Dragon Con panel and he was the best I ever heard. Had to get up way too early and drive a long ways for another Piper panel but damn if you ever heard him tell stories about wrestling

I’m a fan of slap stick and just love ‘em. It is kind of like the Three Stooges if they had hundreds of Curly.

Gloating isn’t nice, unless the other people are assholes then it’s perfectly acceptable to gloat in the face of assholes.

Another combiner? Cool!

Kind of seems like a lot of wasted effort could be applied to so many things in life. Do you really need sporting events to see who can score the most points?

It seems we hear “death of” stories all the time in entertainment. The death of the mega budget tent pole summer action film. The death of scripted television. The death of American animation. The death of books. When people start throwing around the death word for a form of entertainment I want to say “You Keep Using

I figure the only reason Johnny was white was because when Marvel rolled out the comic book you couldn’t sell comic books to white kids with anything but white heroes in them. So if you were making the characters now they could be any race.

Good point. With so much of the Chinese economy being dependent on trade with either the United States or the close allies of the United States it seems like any sort of conflict would be bad for business.

The new guy at work asked me why I stopped playing WoW and my reason was because it had gotten so far away from vanilla WoW. So much of the game is just dead zones now, it’s just no fun to go to the old expansion places just to find them empty of players. The game used to have a play as you want feel but it’s like it
