When I was 13, my mom put me on charge of cleaning the bathrooms, doing my own laundry, and cooking one night a week. It was definitely one of the best lessons that she could have given me. The women I have dated all comment on how they’ve never dated someone who actually shares in the chores.

I would have marched their asses out to the garage and told them to get to work.

My uncle tried going on a rant about how, in his day, he was able to pay for his classes and an apt without any hand outs and that young people obviously aren’t working hard enough.

I had a bag full of Nikon and Pentax gear along with some dark room equipment. Like 4 camera bodies and a dozen different lenses.

This was my thought. You can’t make people work absurd hours and not expect it to have serious, negative impact.

I don’t buy your numbers as the distance from Vancouver to Tokyo is about 2/3rds the distance that it is from Atlanta to Tokyo.

I like my job and the people I work with, but I definitely need some time away from it a couple times a year.

I want me trips to different countries to be one and done. More than anything, I would like to reduce the amount of my time off spent sitting on a plane. I like flying, but there is so much else I want to see and do with my time off.

So I am actually probably doing okay then, per my metric. I am coming from western Canada and I don’t drive.

I wish they would just focus on self driving cars for now. They would do much more for people that a flying taxi which many won’t be able to add.
