I don't charge overnight because I've always been told it is worse for the battery. I thought you were ideally supposed to keep it between 20 and 80 percent, so I usually charge it up to around 80 to 90 percent at my desk or in the evening and unplug.

I don't use any notifying signature with e-mails sent from my phone. I do change it slightly though, it just reads:

I do my banking with Fidelity and they don't have any fees. ATM fees are all refunded, plus free ETF trades, which is nice for extra savings. The cash account technically supports brokerage transactions, though I keep a separate brokerage account with them for accounting simplicity. Also, they have a great Amex

I feel laptops are quickly becoming obsolete. for the price of a laptop you can buy a desktop plus a tablet much of the time. I have a desktop I recently built for about $500 which is way nicer than most laptops that cost twice as much (core i5, two 120gb ssd +1tb hdd fit backup & storage, 8gb ram, and is more easily

No worries. It made me look closer at the original post, and I would agree you are correct. Thanks for clarifying! I always appreciate people being civil in the comments.

Also, while the myth may not be about productivity, the discourse in the article is. I was attaching onto the flavor of the discussion, rather than the letter of the law.

Yeah but its a download sloping curve that you need to differentiate. So depending on the rate of decrease of the curve, and how the curve shifts according to total number of hours worked, there is going to be an optimum point on the curve. Also, don't forget that there are real costs (in terms of both wages and use

Haha, fair enough. I think it means I 100 percent agree with an undefined bulk of it. I just only referenced certain parts, but agree mostly in principal on the rest. I just didn't think my disorganized desk warranted mention.

I agree so whole-hardedly with more or less all of this.

If you buy one in the same price range as the Weber, yes. A sub $200 gas grill won't last long. If you spend $3,000 then probably not. Also propane way more expensive to store than charcoal since you effectively have to buy 2 tanks to have a reliable supply.

I think nicer is relative. If by you mean "has more features" then yes, that is likely true. If you mean does what it does well, I must say, its difficult to dispute the Weber.

I don't have an iPad Mini so I can't precisely comment, however, I have a Nexus 10 I use for work with Microsoft Onenote.

One question that brings me to. Does the newest iPod Touch have GPS?

Precisely! I am considering buying an iPod for some of the perks without the connectivity. I'm going to try life without it first, but it may not be a bad idea. I did buy a tablet for around the house (which is nice), but having something for the car would be nice.

I was about to post basically the same thing. I got my first "smartphone" (if you can call it that) in 2007, some sort of Palm (pre-"Pre"). Since then I have had an HTC Evo, and an iPhone 4s. I recently broke the 4s (knocked a battery connector off the circuit board while replacing the screen), and needed to get a

Oh I thought you meant the smokey flavor. Yeah that isn't smoke, its the steam from the juices. I see what you are saying, you don't like the meat flavor getting back in. I thought you meant the charcoal "smokey" flavor that comes with not having the coals heated up all the way.

If you let the coals heat up all the way so they aren't smoking anymore then you won't get the flavor. Ideally it should taste the same. Flavor comes from smoke, and smoke comes from incomplete combustion. If you let it heat until it is completely white on the outside (~30 minutes), it won't pick up any flavor.

We were given a Weber Onetouch Performance Grill last year and it is the greatest grill I've ever used. Personally, I love that it can light the coals on its own, but the starter is a luxury I probably would not have purchased on my own. A chimney starter works fine, but with or without this feature, the Weber

Oh okay I get you. We only get a high deductible plan anyway, but I think that is more because as an economic consulting firm (and tax consulting firm) its in our DNA. No economist would pick anything else :).

Yeah, in my case it doesn't make a difference, because we only have 3 benefits, health insurance, dental, and vacation. Don't get vacation at part time (that's why I went to full time, only to calculate later that my part time wage was based on an assumption of 3 weeks vacation), but do get health insurance and dental.
