I'm with you. Things would be much more efficient too. Not making the average American driver put down their big gulp long enough to merge would make things a hell of a lot easier.

I want the next one to be about parallel parking a trailer.
I want this for efficiency's sake more than safety's sake. My commute is always stuck behind some log jam of jackasses on their phone not paying enough attention to figure out how to drive the speed limit or pass another car.
I lived in Queens, NY for a summer driving a 91 pathfinder with oversize wheels that rubbed against the fenders. This was pretty much how I had to park everywhere because I could only turn the wheels about 15 degrees. I did get myself jammed into some pretty tight spaces I was proud of though... It may have taken 87…
I used to have both a truck and an SUV neither with great turning radii. In both instances I found it easier to back in than pull in head first most of the time, especially in tighter situations. You can get a better angle into the parking spot.
You obviously do not live in Denver. The way parallel parking here works is
Good call, I missed that. Now this makes 10x more sense in SFO.
Yeah I was wondering how anything which is described as being "huge, loud, pukes out smoke that smells tasty..." is allowed anywhere in the bay area. I'm guessing a neighbor probably paid to get it towed and "disposed of", figuring they were doing the residents of the city a service. I'd check the nearest compost heap.
Good thing they don't have sobriety checkpoints leaving the SNF booth, or this would be a weekly occurrence...
I have an MKVI Golf TDI, and I have to agree on all the benefits you ascribe. It is amazingly roomy for such a small car, and even the somewhat underpowered TDI is still a lot of fun to drive.
I do wish, however, that I had bout a GTI instead. The marginally better fuel economy for a similarly priced car I don't think…
You didn't want to try your luck with "Well I don't know the exact address... Its in a field, I don't know who owns it"?
I want that.
I have an 87. The first gen has the benefit of not only the tailgate, but also the removable top!
I had a Previa in high school. It was a rolling party and totally awesome.
I don't remember what trim level it was, but it was RWD with a Manual Transmission. IMHO it may have been the greatest van ever to hit American shores.
"and I think theycould be key to getting more young people interested in cars."
And should we feel jealous not to have it? Because I absolutely do...
I'm with you. I have a programmable one and I just keep it set at all times to 58 degrees (we don't have AC). When I am home I just turn it up, but otherwise it just turns itself back down every 4 hours or so, so its really hard to just "leave it on". Basically, if I am home I turn the heat up, otherwise its kept low.
My first thought also.
