My mom had the same kind of link with my grandpa that you describe having with your husband. He was very sick (Parkinson's) and she tried to take care of him at home, but ended up having to put him in a nursing home. There were a lot of times that she would get an uneasy feeling and go visit, to find out that he was

In my old apartment in college, my roommate and I discovered while cleaning one day that the previous residents had written "hello!" on the underside of the kitchen counter. Naturally, we had to contribute, so we wrote "you look silly doing that," because you had to bend over at an awkward angle to see it.

I don't think it's that bad. The skirt is a tiny bit short, but it's not skin-tight, so I think you can get away with it. Throw some tights and (flat) boots on, and you're good to go.

I don't know, I have asthma, and considering it's at its worst when I'm at the gym on the cardio machines, "suppressed crying" is sounding pretty reasonable.

Right? I wish I was as "obese" as that lady.

Exactly. Anyone else, and it would be "Oh, how brave of her to speak openly about something people for which people judge so easily." But only Lena Dunham can express the oh-so-controversial opinion of not stuffing children full of pills and be criticized anyway.

Thank you so much for this. There are NO clinical trials done on how medications affect adolescent brains, because what parents are going to sign their kids up to be lab rats? Dunham isn't "hating on" medications, she's saying - rightly so - that it shouldn't be the first choice for managing children's conditions.

It came off as very smug to me. Like, "Hey, while the rest of you guys are gushing over the royal baby, I'll just be down here in Africa doing charitable works and stuff. No biggie."

God prioritizes Americans, of course.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that line was ridiculous. Callie, you cannot possibly think that people's bones are the same color as their skin. She's white, not Caucasian-skin-colored, because she's a skeleton and bones are white.

This is amazing. I must have one.

Isn't that what sperm banks are for?

I also like reading the separation orders in all caps. It's like they're screaming at you to GTFO.

Might I suggest:

Neutrogena has a nice sunscreen that's meant for your face. It's very thin and light, so you don't get that "oh my god, every pore feels clogged right now" feeling that most other sunscreens give me.

I'm with you on all three counts.

I'd call Cersei the best female anti-hero in ASOIAF, personally. She does some terrible things, but I can't help but admire her cunning while she's doing it.

Oh, at least he's modest.

I am also from this town (although no longer live there) and am the one who requested a Jez write-up because I was so frustrated with seeing all the lies about it! I mean, it's frustrating enough to know that Fox lies abut things on a regular basis, but it's worse when it's my hometown they're slandering.

Considering it was an anti-bullying activity, my best guess is that they were told something along the lines of "Just because a girl is wearing a short skirt doesn't make her a slut," which to the feeble minds at Fox News became "girls in short skirts are sluts - they're telling them to look for short skirts!
