I liked it too. It wasn’t deep, but looked insane at the time, and was kinda just fun.

You forgot Xbox 360, Xbox 360 Pro
If the vehicle is legal in Canada it’s incredibly simple to bring it to the US. Pretty much the same as a state to state buy.
That totally makes sense..
I honestly have no idea if EU certificates are enough if you plan on importing a bunch and reselling them “new” vs importing one for personal use, or if it also would need formal US clearances as well. I’m sure you’re right, if it could pass in the EU it would probably pass here, but I don’t know if you still would…
For the record, importing (new bought directly from) Lada to the US is covered under the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA). This coverage is due to their also producing military vehicles for the Russian army, mostly SUV’s and ambulances.
You could theoretically buy a single vehicle used, and then import it for show. But, it would be near impossible to get one licensed as road worthy with US safety and smog standards.
Truly. In addition to the payment issues, it’s almost impossible to import new cars that don’t meet US safety and smog regulations. These are the issues plaguing Japanese tuner imports, which Jalopnik has converted in depth.
That actually sounds awesome. Although I will point out that buying new from the Russian conglomerate is way different than buying used from an individual/small business.
That’s tougher than it sounds. Sanctions don’t exactly work like that, otherwise all sanctions could be skirted by a middleman. The problem comes with effecting payments, as the middleman would find himself in trouble paying the Russian firm with money originating in the US, even if it’s a series of sales and not…
That’s illegal. Lada is under the sanctions covering Russian products. But for the record, they go for $8K in Russia, and I’d bet you could hoodwink someone into paying more fore a ‘unique car’
It’s fucking amazing that it’s 2019 and no console sells controllers in different sizes.. It truly baffles me that Sony & Microsoft can’t see that it might be a good idea to sell small, medium, and large controllers. There is no way one controller can be the perfect fit for every child and every adult.
So sad no one actually bothered to read past the headline in the banana incident. It wasn’t a $120k banana. It was a piece of art that featured a spot where the owner put a fresh banana, was designed for the banana to be changed, and they even had more bananas right next to the piece. I’m not saying it isn’t stupid,…
Still more fun than Fallen Order. What kind of idiot says “Hey let’s make a Jedi game that’s 40 hours of climbing puzzles and have combat be a total after thought.”. Fuck.
Just curious, but if I agree to join the NYPD and beat the shit out of an innocent person, can I have some of that sweet paid administrative leave and free counseling?
Engineer 1- Hey, we need to name the new console.
Why would the number for the testing be so different?
I’d buy 10 new Corvettes..
I have a question for the engineers out there.. Would this be easier or harder to build than a “regular” Tesla? As in, how easy is it to produce large shapes in cold rolled steel? Is it something done by robots or is this steel labor intensive?
A cheap and good looking replaceable bed liner so people won’t be afraid of ruining their new shiny Tesla’s resale value by actually hauling things.
