Thanks for the explanation! Shit if i’m not vaguely surprised. With the sheer length of code on some of today’s games, and the fact that hundreds of programmers work on them, i’d have assumed there would be some sort of program that would at least detect blatant misspellings like “T%ther” Or “Tethe9”. Really

That’s odd. I don’t know anything, but I would have assumed that with all of the tools out there, a spell checker that worked on code would be one of them.. I believe you tho.

I would totally agree, if the problem was bigger than a single typo (which the article doesn’t quite say).. Still, seems to a stupid guy like me that any debugging of code would do a simple spell check for common misspellings of words used frequently, “ie Teather, Tather, Tethar” for “Tether”.

Can someone explain why this wasn’t found and patched day one? Seems like they knew enemy ai was a problem..

This is partly the issue. This wasn’t a video game cheating crack down, it is a crackdown on Trojans that steal personal info for identity theft.

There are 1.4 Billion Chinese people who may find your generalization of their justice system misleading. China has its problems with personal freedoms, but it is not an Orwellian state vis a vis The DPRK or even The Soviet Union..

I prefer Shabooyah Jones and AKA Big Jennifer Garner..

Why has no company perfected suicide doors? They are either on super-expensive or super-unsafe cars..

My families small company would fold if we had to pay severance of 18 weeks pay and health insurance. That’s some buy out! Good for you!

I play some games on Easy. Hate me, but I enjoy story, and there are so many wonderful games out there, I just don’t enjoy working for hours in the “I died, so let me reswpawn and try again” system. It can also change the way some games play. For example it turns Origins from a stealth assasin game to a hack and slash.

Just throwing this in there, but Plesetsk specializes in polar orbits, and actually has had more launches then Baikenor. Although a lunar correction may seem extreme, much of its complexity and cost have to do with course calculations and extra fuel, as Angara and Soyuz both have the power to break orbit.

It’s a harder problem, but it’s also a different kind of hard. Having Baikenor be outside of their borders presents a number of challenges. NASA c0uld have taken advantage of launching near the equator, like Europe has in Guiana, but I doubt they wanted to ship all their rockets and satellites across internati0nal

Am I a jackass for rooting for Nintendo?

I love the siren going when it pulls out. Any car that looks like that should have one to tell people to watch the fuck out.

Does anyone know if this is legal to import or available for order in the US?

I’m guessing they actually did take apart both games and look at the code. I get you were trying to be contary, but, implying that the similar glitch referenced in this article is the only impetus for the suit is totally disengenuous.

Let’s all be really clear here.. Tesla is the most shorted stock on the exchange. Put simply, people have bet tens of billions of dollars that the stock will go down. Most whistleblowers don’t have this factoring into their work. Sabotage is a real possibility when a drop in stock price directly equates to someone

That’s the best description of millennials I have ever heard. “Harley Davidson thinks the generation will appreciate a $4500 bicycle more than a motorcycle.”

I know this sounds crazy, but my view on large theft is that you should get away with it. If he just took pics and leaked it to the press it’s one thing, but they are accusing him of hacking the systems to sell the info to competitors. If you try a major scam and get caught, fuck you. Don’t get caught. I say he should
