I won’t use an indie shop unless they let me bring my own parts. The only exception is if I break down and need the work completed asap. Otherwise, I plan the entire repair/maintenance out and confirm it with the shop. If something else needs to be repaired as part of that process, then I will have them get the part…

I gave up trying to get ungreyed more than a year ago so i forgot my old account details and, I guess, I will try to get ungreyed with this one. The change of the Kinja comments-system really nerfed Jalopnik and ruined an otherwise great forum for car-nerds to discuss stuff.
