Young Mike (with a younger actor and narration by Jonathan Banks)

I read this great review of Alien written some time in the last decade (sorry can’t remember the site, but they were reviewing a horror movie trilogy for Halloween if you want to see if you can find it) where the reviewer makes the point similar to Alex that what’s remarkable about Ellen Ripley is how unremarkable she

To me, the best thing about Alien’s script (which is a very, very good script) is that it makes the Neidermeyer-esque rules stickler the fucking hero of the film and the only survivor.

I never heard of this before now. I did some googling and lookie here:

I don’t know if I can in good conscience recommend it, but Nathan Rabin does a pretty good take here:

The blurb up top makes it clear what happened. “The AV Club” is a collection of individuals. Some of them thought the film was pretty good, but enough of them really hated it that it made the list. And now the comment section is going to be dominated by 20-something white guys crying about it.

I think the baby had her mother’s trainer’s eyes, not traitor’s eyes.

Did anyone saw that K9 and his handler on FOX News telling Jesse Waters on live TV that Jeffrey Epstein was murdered and that it wasn’t a suicide?

Jimmy Kimmel is proof that despite a lot of data points saying otherwise, adult humans are capable of growth and an increase in empathy as they get older and more wealthy.

Considering they already have plenty of coverage by people who know the ins and outs of the comic, how is this an issue for you? This isn’t even the review of the pilot, just thoughts on it from staff who tuned in, one of whom, like many who will be watching, is unfamiliar with the source material.

HBO has posted supplemental reading material much in the same vein as the graphic novel. It fills in a LOT of the space between 1985-2019 including Dan Dreiberg, Laurie , the absence of our modern technology, Rorschach’s journal, etc. https://www.hbo.com/peteypedia

I just loved the idea of Jesse trying to think his way out of a corner in the way Walter would have and failing completely. It fit perfectly.

Bobby’s suggestion that Bash’s marriage was fake came so out of nowhere there, with really nothing to set it up, that it just felt confusing.

Lisa Hanawalt is on twitter talking about finding the show a new home, so I am assuming she knows and it is a possibility.

If only they can figure out a way to shows a series out of order and keep changing when it’s on so it never grows a proper fan base.

Cancelling a critically acclaimed show with a vocal fanbase after one season... Netflix really is like a real TV network now!

Hi, I’m here to explain that those are put into these videos in order to grab people’s attention when the video auto-plays with no sound when it comes up as someone’s scrolling through their social media feed. While I agree it’s annoying when it comes up not in that context, I can’t hate the studios for working with

“The problem with the new Lion King is that the animals just aren’t expressive enough”

OMG Blair Witch utterly destroyed me. Then we came home from the theater and our Norwegian Elkhound was - on my life, I am telling the truth - STANDING IN THE CORNER, staring at the wall, making these light chuffing barks ... my husband thought it was hilarious. He’s now my ex.*

*No, not (entirely) for that.

She’s not in that movie a ton, but her “Four Seasons Medley” is one of the highlights. And boy, she was cute as a button.
