I love this fake-out in-joke version from SNL that ends up getting crashed by a special guest:

Sometimes, a movie’s premise and casting just makes it critic-proof for me.

Oh what an interesting read, thanks!

TIL!

Face facts, people, Nancy and Sluggo have always been trend-chasers.

I’ve watched the first several episodes and have been entertained. It’s got nice female characters who are good at science and engineering. I had no expectations from the original. It seems to me to be a gritty kids show. Something that parents and kids can watch together and both be entertained.

Why does every attempt to resurrect this show end up being so... dour? We all know why anyone watched Lost In Space now - because it was ludicrously over the top and campy. That was really it’s only charm. And that charm was real, even if it isn’t exactly “Cool”. So why not try having an iteration that fully embraces

That movie was glacially bad.

I always had the same problem with Star Trek, where characters often have these nostalgic obsessions - film noir, movie serials, Westerns, Sherlock Holmes, Gilbert and Sullivan - but only as long that nostalgic thing is pre-21st century. Does the Federation just really suck at coming up with new pop culture? Were

This was way funnier than most of the stuff that made it to air.

We debated this. Ultimately, there were two staffers, who shall remain nameless, that maintain the Showgirls sex scene is “intentionally and artfully bad” and therefore actually good.

the cool thing about the wire is how new york city itself is kind of the real main character.

There’s a good idea for an Inventory.

That dog sketch was the first some I’ve laughed out loud watching an SNL sketch for a while. He was a good boy, even if he did some hackey Fallon-esque breaking and mugging.

Was already eye-rolling your aggressively angry comment about a TV show and then you used the term “betas” and it all made sense. Carry on being an embarrassing trash person.

The working theory is she did not realize it was a video clue. On set, those are displayed on a screen next to the big board, not on the board itself.

Yeah, I’d even argue that considering he was teaching a class on sex scenes (which I don’t think is an inherently bad endeavor, I mean it is something many if not most working actors will eventually encounter in some form) the standards of behavior should be even higher and there really should not be ANYTHING going on

Did you miss the part of this story where he removes a protective guard from his students vagina before simulating oral sex? There is literally no excuse for that kind of behavior.

I see your point about the woman he was dating. Basically he was a jerk boyfriend. But I disagree with you about his school. If you put yourself out there as a teacher and tell people you can help them with their career you should not then proceed to treat them that way. There are plenty of legitimate teachers (and

This on top of Greta Gerwig and Ellen Page both expressing their respective regrets. I really respect and admire their contrition. Here’s hoping this gets the ball rolling on Allen. I hope Wonder Wheel is the last film he ever makes.
