C4C has zero impact what-so-ever on the used car market.

If you’re discussing an average, something that impacts the “low end” like that will ... raise the average.

Even if you were looking at median vs mean/average, there are less examples of low price cars, so the median price will probably also go up, although perhaps not as dramatically

I was thinking the same thing. The market is a system. Cash for Clunkers cut off the sale of inexpensive cars that might last a year or two for a poor (or just cheap) person. The cycle of cars appears to be around 20 years from new to the junkyard (maybe closer to 25-30 now) and Cash for clunkers changed the market 10

It had a pretty significant and well-studied impact on the market, but more on the low end. Prior to the program you could get a running and driving vehicle in decent shape for $1-3k pretty easily. A ton of those went away and the bottom end of the market sort of disappeared and has yet to fully recover to where it

Not indicated: What (if any) was the impact of Cash for Clunkers? I know the program was designed to take “oldish” cars off of the market in 2009, but I’m unclear as to how it would impact this study. Those cars that were traded in during that time would have also been well under 10k.

Kidani’s comment is a backhanded way of saying that they shouldn’t be upset when the girls have family members.

Oh I get it now...they shouldn’t be worried cos a father or a brother without a working penis is not a threat to them?

This is one of the things about a certain sector of Japanese culture I will never understand—and that extends out to idol culture, as well. The idea that the individuals they obsess over must at all times appear “accessible/attainable” as part of some fantasy is so incredibly abusive to the people who occupy those

Oh, that’s the box they are in. 80% market share leader, building premium product. Gushing cash. Those don’t make sense together.

I’m not Japanese, but I am Asian and I do understand that very well. There isn’t a hustle as much as developing a foundation for the others that depend on you, and not being a sore thumb/squeaky wheel that needs special care.

I agree, but man oh man, I hope that Kojima pays it back to those that stuck their necks out for him here in Japan. I imagine if his games busts, those people are going to be shamed, especially the banker.

Correct, yes, they should not be operating in China if China requires them to be complicit in totalitarianism.

Ultimately, everything is political. I forget who actually said it, but the aphorism that we do not have to take an interest in politics for politics to take an interest in us is absolutely true—and it’s of vital importance to the present situation.

More importantly, Acti-Blizz (and the NBA, and South Park) took a

The bank has no way of knowing how much of his success was him, and how much was from Konami: what they *do* know is that his games are very expensive to make, and he himself doesn’t seem to be a fan of micro-transactions, which the corporate world loves.

I just mean I don’t see this one appreciating to some ridiculous collector figure.

My thinking is, at the end of the day, it’s a Subaru. It’s never going to hold crazy value, I don’t think. It’s the ultimate WRX, a car that’s meant to be an accessible performance car, built by people who want you to drive it. Don’t think too much about it.

I agree with you. I just dont understand the general sentiment that has become pervasive in our society...the one we we all tear each other down instead of being happy for others that they might actually afford a chance to improve themselves. all the while the rich and the politician sit and enjoy all of the

Most factory work doesn’t require a college education, and most union contracted workers are harder to discipline due to that contract. How many UAW workers have been caught drinking on the job, or other things that would get most normal people fired.

“No one should have it easier than I do.”

What exactly is your point?
