Wow. Had no idea of the dire straits they were in, I figured they were doing well for themselves since I can’t turn a corner on a PS Store page without hitting a Telltale Games entry.

Jesus. It really isn’t that hard to follow.

This was addressed in the first trailer for the film and played for a joke so no, it’s not an albatross.

There is no double speak. You can appreciate someone’s work, while also closing their position / department / whatever.

If you strip the veneer away, then it’s clear you actually agree: companies have no use or appreciation for ventures they consider unprofitable.

Absolutely correct. I knew a guy,met while contracting in Afghanistan and recall a conversation where I was along the lines of “Yeah this sucks but looking forward to the stacks of money that will be waiting once back home.” He replied he wasn’t saving anything and would have to be there for another 2 years.

That’s not how business works. You don’t pay people with money that doens’t exist, just because you appreciated all of the hard work and contributions over the years.

Reuben Foster. And I will throw you Shady McCoy’s ex making things up (allegedly). So there’s 2. On the other side, let’s go through the laundry list of players who actually have done the things they were accused of. On top of that, the ones who did it and never got accused.

We’re not all playing the same game tho. Bezos didn’t come from a fantastically wealthy family, but they were wealthy enough to pay for Princeton and come up with $300k to launch Amazon.

Are you really going to stand your ground on the idea that Bezos is worth almost 200 billion because he’s worked so much harder than everyone else? I have no doubt he has worked hard, but to say that his wealth is directly tied to that is obviously nonsense.

I worked with Bezos (as the 2nd employee (or 4th, depending on how you count Bezos and his wife)) to start Amazon.

Was sexual assault and harassment legal a few weeks ago...?

more than 400 vehicles financed by the captive that could not be located.

Something something True Coat.

Aggravated assault, maybe.  Attempted murder is a joke.

The slower speeds of hillclimbs are exactly why the aero gets taken to such silly-looking extremes. At higher speeds such crazy aero would introduce speed-killing drag but for hill climbs it makes sense.

CG,

Right, I’m going to out myself as a complete bastard here, but let me try to offer some perspective:

I am married to a wonderful, supportive, brilliant woman—who happens to come from a wonderful, supportive, often brilliant family. I won the goddamned lottery in my marriage—but my relationships prior to this point

My Ferrari 348 is cheaper to insure than my 12 year old VW. It has to be all about the risk profile of the average owners of those two cars. As you say, the high end car will be super expensive to fix, but very low chances there will ever be a claim. Whereas plenty of VW’s get written off every day. It’s very strange

I think the higher seating position is more comfortable for people to get in and out of, number 1, and also affords them better visibility in general. As the window line has come up and up and up on sedans, and as SUVs and pickups have become more popular, many people feel the general visibility a sedan provides (and

This. A Mustang is more expensive to insure than a 911. Also, when the first WRX’s came out (16 freaking years ago - man I feel old) they were expensive to insure. Evo’s as well.
