I kinda love it. It’s clean, and you could swap in a better engine/transmission, wheels and tires, and police-package brakes and suspension. Would make a cool hot rod and/or sleeper.

I’m about to drop a grand or two for a new water pump and oil-pressure sensor on my (paid-for) 2017 GTI. EVs have neither of those things, nor do they require DSG service (or clutch replacements, if that’s your thing), oil, filters, etc. Much simpler mechanically.
