You're overestimate Bernie's influence, FIA is very interested in motorsport popularity, but if grading any track for F1 standarts somehow would affect on their moral image they wouldn't do it.

Russia has been paying for Olympics in range of $40-90 and it was spectacular $50 billion cost. World Cup estimated $15 billion and F1 10-year hosting cost ~$500 million. So, I guess, it's not problem Russia is thinking about.

Just great!

FIA =/= Bernie, dear morality guard. FIA is association with over 60 million members.

In 2008 oil was $40/bbl when Russia won an opportunity to host Winter games in Sochi.

Porsche offers that as free option, though.

Nice video, still laugh at Nico Rosberg's footage on Fanghio's W196:

Glorious Kinja engine had eaten my ent, so I repeat it.

Top 50? Okay, I understand your point. Bye bye.

When it was, in 1995? All I can say about Russia now that it's one of the most powerful country in the world.

Have you ever been in Russia? I've visited many countries and met many people so I can say more than "that's hilarious" from a man who read some text and trying to argue with that.

What problems? Russian people are proud nation and history shows that they easily sorted out with any leaders which they didn't support. Also I don't exactly know average amount of achievements Russians got, but I wouldn't say that they live poorer than an average American or European citizens.

Man, you think too much about Russia and their government. Just calm down and enjoy Sochi's TV translation.

Thanks to management who decided to use Olympic park in this elegant way, as a beautiful decoration for Gran Prix, most of these money spent very smart, it's excite me.

TLDR, tomorrow will be one of the best race in 2014 calendar. Many thanks to everyone who organized it.

Apart from politics, Russian Gran Prix is just gorgeous. Great track, beautiful landscape and clear weather.

Cancelling the most beautiful race in the F1 calendar? Come on.

Very likely driver (and tank) is from Russian voluteer program for army and fleet cooperation. They receive old, decommissioned machines for free to repair and training. Also I found another video with them, they're practice military-oriented strike ball:

This is civilian group who rented a tanks for paintball, hunting or something like that.

Volgas was great for Taxis, now they become a canvas for tuners. Favourite one:
