If that’s the case he was stupid. He killed her while she was on assignment on HIS submarine, so obviously when she went missing people thought about him because he was the last person to see her alive. As far as DNA goes, yes, it’s hard to identify a random torso, but when there’s a torso found and a missing woman

Rapist Island! Murderer Island! Child Molester Island!

No, thank you. I like this planet fine. I am OK with setting up a penal colony on Mars or the Moon, though, for murderers who we don’t want on Earth. The difference in gravity would make it very difficult for them to return to Earth. We can build a cloud city on Venus for non-criminals (Venus’ gravity is so much

Right. The bit about having cut open the torso in certain ways to make sure the decomposition gasses escaped so that she wouldn’t float means he’s spent some time thinking about this, at a minimum, and has learned some things from previous murders at a maximum.

While there always has to be a first, he did seem to know a lot of forensic countermeasures. My guess is this is not his first murder, regardless of the circumstances.

I guess you can’t fully dismiss the idea that he could just be a serial killer; however, the fact that he knew she would be connected to him makes you think that whatever happened was an impulsive act—that there was no reasoning and that it was instead about rage or fear.

Not that I’m ruling out the sexual assault angle, but this dude has a documented history of egomania (particularly where this project is concerned), I daresay she could have said something that offended him during an interview and flew off into a rage.

If Denmark is anything like the US, there’s a limited number of days that a person can be held in jail before being charged (48-72 hours in the US depending on where you’re arrested), so prosecutors often charge a suspect with whatever will stick at initial stages of the case so that they can go back and amend charges

How many other people do you think he’s killed and cut up? You don’t do that just once.

Jesus. The theory that he sexually assaulted her, she resisted, and he murdered her and then has been desperately trying to cover his tracks ever since seems almost certain at this point. That, or he’s a deranged serial killer who’s really bad at covering his tracks.

“Oh my. This hurts. There was a ‘protective barrier’ there for a reason! Who does these things?!”

Putting a kid in a coffin is creepy anyway, it will make him a casket case.

I assume he sunk it to destroy evidence, like blood stains or other body fluids

He first claimed he dropped her off near a restaurant, but the restaurant owner had cctv tapes that showed no such thing. That’s likely when police figured it was murder.

If I had a nickel for every time I’ve heard that...

C) This isn’t going to boost his crowdsourcing effort...

I’ve been seeing this for the last few days and I can’t help but wonder

I feel like this should go without saying but, never go alone into a self built submarine with the weirdo who built it.
