It absolutely should be banned, not because of aesthetics (yes, it’s fugly), but it’s grossly dangerous to drive around with your vehicle riding this way. It’s far from manufacturer’s specs, and it violates a long list of DOT standards.

1st Gear. Good. It’s about time we let the UAW know they don’t run the show, and we will not accept mediocrity and shoddy work, harbored by an union that protects a subpar workforce and are in the business to extort the company that employs their members.
Mr. Maezawa has impeccable taste. This car is truly beautiful and tastefully ordered, a far cry from what American popstars would do to such a fine automobile.
Moral of the story: money can buy you class if you have class to begin with.
1980s IROC-Z. I view pretty much all American cars, old and new, as unsophisticated, boorish products that cater to the simple minded: most horsepower and nothing else matters. But as a little kid, I really liked the Camaro IROC-Z. There was one in my neighborhood in white where I grew up, and it was badass looking,…
I’m with Erik. A higher mileage 1st gen Honda Fit would be the best college car that will be super reliable for years to come. I would personally look for a manual, but plenty of automatic ones are out there.
David, what are you planning on using this truck for, ultimately? Because this is honestly a basket case, and it would cost a ton of money to fix all of those things, which are mostly electronic and computer related. The driveshaft clunk and the steering are the only two things that can be fixed easily and relatively…
If it had hit a Bugatti Veyron? No, probably not. But that’s not the point. The point is that it was hit with enough blunt force that it would cause any vehicle that isn’t significantly heavier to react violently in one way or another. If it hit a vehicle with a low center of gravity, it wouldn’t flip over right away,…
Nice job with a generic reply. I stand by my statement that you drive responsibly on public roads, period. In my younger stupider high school days, I did some dumb shit, but I grew up, and my antics are now contained at race tracks or other sanctioned events, such as autocross.
This is the only time that I will be on the insurance side if they deny paying out for this nonsense. Insurance is supposed to cover “accidents,” not irresponsible fuckery.
The Silverado is bone stock. No vehicle was ever designed to take that kind of impact without reacting violently. It’s called physics, dipshit.
Or, you can just not show off at all, and be a responsible person behind the wheel. Want to have fun? Find an empty parking lot, or book track time.
If I was the guy driving the Silverado, I’d be lawyering up and getting ready to sue the Hellcat driver’s ass off, including getting the title of the pile of shit he’s driving. Basically kicking him in his financial balls, whatever he has.
Americans handle their piles of trash cars like they handle their guns...Unsafely and Irresponsibly.
I would opt for an older car with lower miles, provided that a complete service history comes with it. You never buy an used car with no service history, unless you know the car yourself, like if it belonged to your uncle, cousin, etc., and you know they have taken very good care of it.
Newer cars may have less…
Just give all Jeep models a fire-themed name, as eventually they will all catch on fire.
I’ve traveled to other parts of Europe, including The Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries. I’m just impressed at the fact that they know how to speak another language other their own native language. Obviously, countries like Belgium, you kinda have to, because it’s half French, and half Dutch.
Being multi-lingual, I hope I’m never judged by the highest standards in knowing each language, but being able to carry on a conversation in another language other than the one you use daily is like having a super power, at least that’s how I sell it to my kids to convince them to learn another language.
I am constantly amazed by the high level of education the Germans receive. They speak perfect English, and I’m almost positive perfect German, and they probably speak another language perfectly, if not well.
She doesn’t deserve a dime, and she has no right to sue anyone. That is all her own doing. Why the fuck would anyone use Gorilla Glue on any parts of their body? To pity her is to pity the dumbass that would substitute cooking oil with motor oil to cook. She did this for attention, plain and simple. She wanted to go…
Their lot was very full, and some of the cars in for repairs had to use the visitor parking lot as an overflow, or so they said. I didn’t really care as it was a rental, so I handed them the keys. If it was my own car, then no way are they touching my car.
