It's worth noting yet again that Snyder's bigger problem isn't that his films are too grim; it's that they're bad. Dark films can be fun when they're well made (Dark City, Burton and Nolan's Batman films, etc..), sitting through a film bloated with explosions and stupid characterization isn't.

Sin City - both the comics and the movies - was very much an exercise of style over substance. In both cases, it was sufficient at first - it is a great looking style - but it got old way too fast. This universe is populated with archetypes by design. The characterization is paper-thin all over the place and I don't

I will always criticize allies if I feel they're in the wrong. It's more honest.

Never pretended it was.

I really, really don't like being on the same side as sexist a-holes but I can't help thinking that with their "women-only" stunt, the Alamo:

"In other words, it’s not “The Joker killed my wife, now I’m crazy evil.”
It’s more “killing the Joker made me realize that nobody else should
have to suffer what I went through, and I have such immense power that I
can actually put that plan into action.” "

The first film is also the only one that remembers that pirates were evil, scary people, not adventurers.

44 years old is way too young to die. Clerks did not have much of an impact on me but, Jesus Christ… A 44 year old mother, dead. That should not happen, ever.

You spend years saying you hate a guy because of how shitty you think his films are, and then something happens that puts everything back in perspective. I hope he and his wife will go through this. Them and everybody else who loved the deceased.

You mean in the old show? Because I haven't seen the old episodes in years. Not going back to them feels like a mistake, I must say.

I… don't know how I feel about those 2 episodes. I know Twin Peaks - and David Lynch's oeuvre in general - are expected to be weird but I was expecting at least a minimum of effort to ease us back into the world. I had no idea what I was watching, and I'm someone who watched the original show. I can't imagine how the

1- It was a great season but that finale felt way too rushed. Ophelia as a character deserved a better exit than what she ultimately got. The show briefly touched on the fact that she was essentially reacting like a child because in truth, she was a child, alive for only a few days, but it didn't go as deep as it

Prior to the article, I had no idea he was involved with The Tonight Show as well. That certainly moves his name up on the shit list.

That show was bad but the cast is talented. I hope they get better roles.

Mallory Jansen, I did not know you before you became part of the show but wow! You seriously impressed me tonight. The range between adorable Ophelia and evil Ophelia was something to see.

The way the credits work in the comic industry is baffling. Why aren't Stan Lee and Steve Ditko credited for the creation of Miles Morales? They found the superhero name, thought of some of the superpowers and Morales' costume is super similar to the one Ditko created.

This is such an important distinction, I don't get how some people don't see it. Especially since this is one of the biggest narrative since the elections.

I realize my complaint seems benign considering it's a pretty meh trailer but whoever decided Elba shouldn't be wearing a hat should have his ass kicked.

Somebody at some point is going to have to figure out what to do with the framework now that everyone is out of it.

"Meanwhile, Jones’ attorneys staked their entire defense on painting
Kelly as living with an “inverted logic and an inverted sense of
reality,” a self-absorbed and emotionally unstable person who is
dangerously convinced of a cabal of government forces (chiefly
court-appointed counselors) conspiring against her.
