Not true. The Wii U's I've been selling are the brand new Mario U + Luigi U bundle, so they are newly manufactured.

I work in electronics at ToysRUs and I've sold more Wii U's this holiday season than any other gaming console.

Wii U uses 3 and a half times less power. That's pretty neat.

I'm enjoying both so far. PS4's UI is a bit of a mess, but Xbox One's isn't a homerun either; both UI's are simplified but not always for the better. I can confirm that it doesn't look any prettier on PS4. Though oddly, there is a multiplayer map on PS4 that I think looks great.
