Best Kotaku article I’ve ever read, along with a valuable life lesson.

With Tales from the Yawning Portal out I’ve been rereading some of his adventures, and they are pretty terrible. You need some extra-thick nostalgia goggles on to see the good bits.
Yes, a good DM can make them fun and memorable, but a good DM can do that for almost any adventure. In the hands of just a mediocre DM

It is known as the Copy Cat Combo.

Kickstarter has really illustrated two things for me over the years:

1.) Game development, as well as managing a budget, a team, messaging, etc. is really difficult and complex, and I get the impression that a lot of people don’t really realize that when they promise these “too-good-to-be-true” sounding projects, (or

The lesson is to not part ways with money you don’t mind never seeing again. That’s how it’s always been with crowdfunding.

It’s not really that hard to find games to pirate that won’t wreck your computer. The thing is, the experience of playing a game legit is far far better than a pirated game. Especially these days now that they’re so interconnected with the ‘net.

The downside is, the real bonus to legit purchases were the cool maps,

Good. Cheating in online game is shitty thing to do, cheat all you want in offline singleplayer

This is great news as it sets a precedent. Hopefully more companies are able to start doing stuff like this.

good, cheating services are a leech that need to be extricated from gaming

I think it’s mainly the difference between bad coffee and good coffee. Bad coffee smells like burnt popcorn and tastes like an ashtray. This is the most ubiquitous kind of coffee. If that’s all I ever encountered, I’d hate coffee, too.

Why won’t Pokémon Go’s developers actually add the features the game so desperately needs?

It is quite amazing really. A developer is handed one of the most popular video game IPs ever made and fucks it up so badly, still makes a billion, but then continues to fuck it up.

People with ASPD don’t get jokes, and boy is that becoming too close to the norm these days!

When someone has extremely black and white morals, like they’ll write 5000 words and spend hours arguing that a joke is LIE AND IT’S HORRIBLE.... well, that’s a BIG RED FLAG. Generally called:

ASPD Type 5: Reputation-defendi

Bro, how do you not get it? You’re on the site commenting. You aren’t better or smarter than anyone else here like you want to think. You reading this article and commenting is why more like it will exist. It would be like buying the weekly world news and complaining that it gets printed.

I don’t know what’s happened in the last 20 years or so, it may be the decline of the education system, it may be the rise of reality TV or social media, but people are gullible as fuck nowadays.

Only if you think his video persona is how he actually is in real life, and that’d be a pretty stupid thing to think.

It was deceitful, yes, as a lot of jokes are. So what, the guy got 50 million subscribers?

You do realise that was part of the joke? The media blew the notice out of proportions and went all crazy over it, which is why PewDiePie mocks them in the video.

If Kotaku stopped writing about any gaming personality/company that lied and manipulated people for their own benefit, they wouldn’t have anyone to write about.

Why so salty? If you dont like him, just ignore him and skip over articles about him. Ive done that with Trump for the past year, and ill continue doing it for the next 4
