The supernatural seasons are typically, very slow, canon wise, what with 15 or so creature of the week episodes a season. But those 10 make it so worthwhile. Even some of the filler's good. Just wait til you get to seasons 4-5. Filler's filed down considerably, and it's a hell of a ride.
