If I had to guess, nobody wanted to step up to take over. It’s Tokyo afterall and the retail landscape is really vicious. The job would’ve been extremely difficult to do and there’s no guarantee that people will continue to come back after the reins are handed over to the new operator.

O man I loved TSR. When it first aired, it was must watch TV for me every week. I really liked the thriller elements they brought in and thought it was a good series for the starring couple as each learned something about themselves.
