I don’t go to 4chan mostly because I don’t think it’s a large portion of the gaming voice anymore. The days of 4chan driving the online voice have waned, IMO.

I honestly wouldn’t worry so much about him. Just keep telling him you disagree when the topic comes up and demonstrating an ethical feminist life to him. I have no doubt that his upbringing and the good head he probably actually has on his shoulders will win out.
That’s dumb. Why shouldn’t we care about the shitty things that a shitty group like GamerGate does? Should we stop caring about other shitty groups like the WBC and KKK?
That’s...so pathetic.
They sent in death threats to the anti-GamerGate panel and because they cancelled the anti-one, they also cancelled the pro-GamerGate one (because having just a pro-panel would be stupid).
Just because it takes time for pain medication to take effect doesn’t mean you shouldn’t use it. Take dentists, for example - they’re more than willing to numb your mouth and wait while everything goes numb before they pull out the drill.
If you get a hormonal IUD you probably wont bleed enough to need a period cup anyway...
And it’s totally just a little scrape, and if you need somebody to come hold your hand in the waiting room or drive you home afterward, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is so here for you.
Because all of my friends who’ve had one have said the insertion was the singularly most painful experience of their lives, even the friend who had a back injury that got so bad she needed prednisone injected into her spine? Oh, and because all of them have had their period cramps get an order of magnitude worse. Oh,…
Seconded. It should be $0.
It’s illegal for insurance not to cover it. The ACA specifically calls out birth control as being a fully covered service that shouldn’t even have a co-pay.
If you don’t like the idea of having an object inside your uterus, absolutely consider Nexplanon! I’m on my second one and I can’t even tell it is there unless I press on it.
I saw the new Goosebumps movie and I thought it was respectful to the material. It was both for kids and the adults who grew up reading it.
If you are under the age of 25, you have probably never heard of Jem. This movie was a dumb idea.
Yup. I don’t even eat pork or beef, but all my friends sharing this sanctimoniously on Facebook are making me roll my eyes. I do, for example, tend to drink 1-2 good beers per day which puts me in the moderate-to-heavy drinking camp according to the CDC and puts me at a higher risk for breast cancer, which already…
I mean, if you’re going for lower fat turkey has that. But the cancer link is supposedly due to nitrates. Most turkey bacon is processed meat too and therefore has nitrates just like regular bacon (not all turkey bacon maybe, but most).
I think more useful discovery/edification can be gained by curating high quality discourse. I mean, YouTube comments and 4chan are basically open platforms to air and argue any ideas at all.
So what you're saying is that every university ought to give a platform to any ignorant tripe, if only to provide a wealth of ideas? I'm tired of this concept that all opinions and viewpoints are equally valid. The WBC is wrong. They should be ignored, but not silenced. Nor should we hand them a bullhorn.
There’s a not-uncommon and particularly stupid school of feminism that sees transgender women as some kind of evil infiltrators that want to become women to take over the narrative or I can’t even, but that’s what this is.
It is incredibly heartbreaking how dangerous it is to be a trans woman, and still how unwilling people are to recognize their experience and witness their pain. It's especially infuriating when it is someone who is in a position where allyship seems obvious.
