I'm glad it will take a long time before these probes are launched. The more time taken, the better assured scientists will be that the probes are as effective as possible.

@Crowbot: Do you do it so your house doesn't look so flat?

I'm not any of those types. I got an iPhone because my brother had one and was raving about it and I'll probably keep using it because I'm pretty satisfied with the experience.

@xd.Balls: Again, I'm not sure why. I don't understand what it is they are doing that is illegal.

@toniperdido: I have no problem with snakes. I used to have a ribbon garter. I did not, however, walk around with it in public expecting it to stay put.

@virtualvine1: I have no problem with the rest of it. For one thing, my wife's hair is purple and for another, if your chain earring falls off, it's not going to slither around looking for something warm to squeeze.

@PrincessTheMoney: I never said no one should own a snake. I just said if you walk around in public with it on your neck, you're an asshole.

@balebusta: Well, dogs are capable of killing. The difference is, you can train a dog.

@balebusta: This is why we do not take non-domesticatable pets out in public without something to stop them doing what comes naturally.

I'm guessing the owner was one of those assholes who walks around in public with a snake around their neck.

@Mr. Rosewater: He was the head writer for several seasons.

@Mark 2000: It doesn't look to me like they are blocking content anyone has already paid for. It looks like they may be blocking people form purchasing new content in the future. I see nothing here to suggest that already-purchased Kindle books would be unreadable.

@Stymie99: Millions of people all over the country use libraries every single day. The percentage of your tax dollar going to them is far, far less than a penny. Over 50% goes to the military. Maybe you're concerned about the wrong thing.

@Mark 2000: What would be the grounds for such a suit? Don't get me wrong, I think Apple shouldn't do this, but I'm not sure what argument a plaintiff could make.

@rob_p: So then I assume you want fertility and genetic testing for all couples wanting to marry. After all, one of the two (or both) might be infertile or have one of those rare genetic abnormalities where they appear to be one gender externally, but are another internally.

@rob_p: And if you're gay, you're still you. I fail to see your point.

@rob_p: So there are differences? So what? There's a grand difference between a man with no arms and a woman with two arms. Guess we shouldn't allow amputees to marry.

@DarthSnuggles: I don't feel I'm abusing it in this case and I think you're equivocating.

@Thomas J Brown: Something Awful used to do that to any hotlinked images. I seem to remember it was a close-up of a penis with semen dripping off of it.
