@Reverend.Jester: I think I met one of those guys once, but he told me that he saved a lady from a giant barrel-throwing monkey.

@Trez: Yes, but that's not true in Central and South America where corn fills the same dietary niche as rice in Asia or wheat here and has for thousands of years.

@RushinRussian: I don't know about you, but I enjoy real blueberries a lot more, so I'd rather get cancer from them.

@\m/ chaosphere \m/: Which is ironic, because corn crops are going to be one of the first major crops seriously threatened by global climate change.

@L3gato: And I was giving my 2 over why I hated it.

In William Gibson's rejected script for Alien 3 (which I quite enjoy), the alien reproductive system is engineered into an airborne pathogen and almost every living thing on the space station where it takes place gets replaced by aliens who take on the traits of what they were replaced with (it is one of the few

@L3gato: I like plot and characters in films. If I want lots of action, there are video games for that.

@L3gato: Really? I thought it was the 20 minute mud-covered massive cave orgy scene instead of a plot.

@phoghat: It's only a bargain if that's what they pay you to watch it.

SatC2 will probably sweep it. So many people have frothing-at-the-mouth hatred for all things SatC once. I'm not a fan myself, but I don't get why it's so much worse than so much other schlock.

@sgnl01: I think scientists breaking down Michael Bay movies would take far, far longer than the movie itself to explain all the problems with science in them.

I was about to say, "why can't they move on and make something else?" but then you talked about Hood and now I'm thinking they shouldn't move on either.
