People who don’t want their civil rights curtailed generally do have stronger political will than the ones who want to do the curtailing.

Obviously, pretending guns don’t exist, exorcising any and all gun-related toys or entertainment from the house, and violently discouraging any interest in guns will keep kids safe! You stupid gun humper!

So, what I see here is an extensive, expensive, national-scale campaign to directly help kids avoid accidentally injuring themselves. That’s in opposition to doing nothing, and hoping to legislate human stupidity out of existence while depriving an entire country of an essential constitutional right.

They are literally marching for the revocation of a constitutionally protected personal liberty.

You already have that right. Florida is probably going to execute this person who broke the law and chose to deprive other students of that right.
