The timing of this release is just bang-on perfect for me too, it’s nice to have a little escapism from the anxiety of living in New York City while a deadly virus threatens a complete breakdown in civil order.

Online petition- OK!

I think its totally fair to call people out on their bullshit, “for the art” excuses.  Especially when they are Russian so more than likely pushing an agenda.

If your metric on whether a decision is "good" or not begins and ends with "did it generate exposure?" then maybe your metric is also bad

Sure it’s their choice. Doesn’t mean it’s above criticism.

You don’t think that games that DO feature women don’t get passed along? I see lists all the time of games that are friendly to women, minority of gay players, and games that are deemed unfriendly. An article like this really does cut both ways.

I agree it’s a valid choice to say it costs too much or that only 5% of their player base if female. But they also went into the nonsense of declaring this situation being lore related. That’s why people are commenting when they’d normally ignore it. I know I’d do exactly that if they had said the first two reasons I

It’s a generic military mmo. The lore doesn’t matter a bit.

What we do know is the game creators claim there is a lore reason for this situation but provide no lore from their game to prove such an assertion. Either they’re trolling people, incompetent or too lazy to look up something that should be easy to provide if it actually existed before today. Even in this day and age

They made their decision and it was a bad decision.

And articles like this help me make an informed decision about which developers I support.

If a game or developer does not align with your politics and you feel strongly about it, then don’t buy the game. By all means, take a stand. Sign an online petition stating that you’re not buying the game because it fails to give equal representation to women. If you want to enact real change and enough people feel

Skin color is hardly a reason to scrap a character whose flashiest and most eye-catching part of their creation is the clothing they wear. By that metric, any pale-skinned characters were be “too similar”.

Uh, it seems more like they wrote and created a really cool black soldier lady and put her in a very important story position so they wanted to wait to fully introduce her until they do their story focused sequel?

As a storyteller, to say that you’ve “had” to save your black woman for a story is a bit weird, because you’re the writers, and you write the story, and there is nothing you have or don’t have to do. You could have altered the story (most of the story isn’t even in the game proper). You could have changed the

What I liked best about the booing is how quick it started and how loud it was—the announcer hadn’t even gotten to the J in “president donald j trump” before the boos started. Less than two seconds after his face appeared on the screen. And it didn’t let up until the booth cut back to the vets.

“The look on Trump’s face when he realized this wasn’t a Trump rally”

My favorite was the clip where the crowd cheers the troops, boos the president and then cheers someone else over the course of about 30 seconds.

I really doubt he’ll win the case. Not only was he promoting gambling, but he was effectively advertising a website he owned and operated without disclosing that fact.  Which is illegal in the US.

Diablo holds my very first memory of playing with people online. I logged in to town and I asked about a secret cow level. He replied you have to run around a building 3 times and press Alt+F4. After starting the program again, it was at the young age of 12 I realized people online are jerks too.
