For the record the new R4s work on the DSi. The R4i series come with hot-swappable boot files to work on both the DS and DSi.

@Bernoulli: You can easily convert that s-video out into RGB yellow for SD TVs and if you are lucky and use a HDTV like I do you can use VGA to turn it into a big PC monitor or if you have DVI you can easily convert that to HDMI to work.
