I came here to post the same thing! I know I look “better” with makeup, but looking good is not my job, so honestly who cares?

Haha, I had the same thought about my mom. If I said I was robbed, she would harangue me until I made a police report. If I was a famous Olympian, I wouldn’t put it past her to talk to the media on my supposed behalf.

I know how this poor girl feels. Well, minus the pressure of representing your country at an event watched around the world. Last summer, my race schedule was perfectly in sync with my menstrual cycle, and yes, it was a drag.

RuPaul 2012?

This is pretty much me doing my four-year-old’s hair: I have one minute (or less) (before she starts really screaming) and generally it looks terrible.

I really didn’t care one way or another about it until I read this article. Now I think my eye is going to twitch every time I see those ubiquitous flats.

Don't forget the Triathlon. They will be starting at Copacabana beach.

I, too would like to see “mouth-breather” go away as an insult. I have asthma and a deviated septum. I also have about a gazillion allergies, so sinus infections are frequent despite all the crap I do to prevent them. I try to breathe through my nose as much as I can, but it’s hard to get enough air. You don’t need to

I don’t have a doll-related gripe, but my mom wouldn’t let me go on a field trip to Stratford, ON as a high school freshman “because [I] could go as a senior”. (Long story why this was the case) Flash forward to my senior year...field trip time again....and it coincides with my sport’s regional finals. Skipping that’s

“I’ve just gotten here, and I have already hit my hippie threshold.”

Can I hijack this for a moment to state that Nichelle Nichols was is the MF bomb? I am a straight woman, and I think I would flirt with her if I thought I had a ghost of a chance.

My hair is fairly coarse, but I have an oily scalp, plus I swim and work out regularly, so I have to wash every other day or I look like an oil slick. I wear a swim cap, so the chlorine doesn’t dry out my hair that much, but since my hair is longish I try to just wash my scalp and then rub conditioner on the ends.

I don’t get it, and I probably never will. I am an endurance athlete, have had broken bones, all kinds of painful injuries, almost made it through labor w/out drugs, but nothing made me writhe in agony like getting my genital region waxed. The second time I went to a salon, thinking that I must be doing it wrong.

It’s definitely harder to feel sexy when you are exhausted from wrangling an especially willful young child into their own bed.

Oh...you’re not the only one. Some f the clothes look like a three year old’s first attempt at dressing themself. In particular, the top that looks like it’s sideways.

That’s how I feel about most reality TV. I can't deal with more than a minute of the Bachelor/ette, but I find the plot synopses absolutely fascinating. Same with this saga - feuding vegans makes for a surprisingly satisfactory work diversion.

I’m 42, and I strongly suspect I have some form of ADD. Almost every time I read about a woman being diagnosed with ADD as an adult, I feel a shiver of recognition. But my twenties are long past. Is there any point to seeking treatment at this point in life? If so, how do you go to your doctor and tell them you would

Does anyone else think he looks like one of the guys from UB40 now? Now all I want is some red, red wine.

I can’t help but feel for her. When I was an undergrad in a highly competitive program at an expensive private school, far away from where I grew up, I often fantasized about just running away from it all and just being a waitress, or maybe just a hermit in the woods. Depression plus alienation plus shame will do

DWTS is always like that - someone who isn’t very good abut has a big fan base (or compelling backstory) makes the finals over someone far better. Sometimes it makes you mad (cough, Bristol Palin, cough cough) and sometimes you just shrug your shoulders gallicly and mutter plus ça change. I could see from the
