Well, I’d say it’s at least dishonorable to sleep with somebody else while in a relationship, lie about it, and then try to get child support for one of them from the wrong person, but what do I know? I’m not sure this fits as slut shaming.

And i would add: It happens all the time since the world isn’t perfect. Millions of children have to endure some kind of domestic abuse because laws cannot care for every single flaw a “home” may have. Maybe it’s one of the must realistic traits of the novels.

The Harry Potter thing was explained in the books as Harry receiving some kind of protection from his mother by keeping residence at his Aunt & Uncle’s house. He had to live there for some amount of every year.
