That’s all fine and well if you’re forcing yourself to go to the gym, but for people that actually enjoy lifting, there is nothing wrong with going for over an hour, especially if you’re powerlifting that day.

I would say that’s only true if you are just looking to get healthier/in general “shape.” For the average joe/jane a well organized hour should definitely do it but someone looking to be competitive in some sport or activity you will spend quite a bit more than that.
