By the way, bare feet, a rub and electronic parts don't go together. It is a surprise you didn't burn anything because of electrostatic.

I built my own PC but took around a week to investigate exactly the pieces that I wanted and which ones would be compatible with each other. After having all the parts, it was just a matter of connecting everything and installing the OS. I did it with the help of a old online guide.

@arekkusu82: I forgot I had to restart my computer. After that everything is working fine.

The "emotes" don't move!!!??? It's anybody else having trouble trying to minimize it or even close it, the buttons don't seem to respond very well on my Vista Machine. They don't respond on the preferences, either. Needs a little more debugging.

But what if I dont want to have firefox open all the time?? You could try Webmon ([www.markwell.btinternet.co.uk]). Thiis a llitle app the lets you check several webpages a the same time looking for changed content. You can even tell him to ignore part of the page and look only for changes on certain text.

@155: You can't really compare time from login to the time you are able to open programs because it depends on all the software you have installed. The best comparison would be to have two PCs with the exactly same OS fresh installed.

You can also check for open ports. So you can tell which machines are running a WebServer (port 80), a FTP Server (port 21) or VNC (ports 5800,5900,6000,6100).
