They're honestly not AS bad as some people (myself included) make them out to be, and I say that as a regular over there, (Kotaku, Gawker and Jez are "my jams" as The Kids these days say) It's just the ones that ARE bad are above and beyond bad, so it makes them look worse than they are.

Double Fine ran into this exact same problem with Broken Age. With no Evil Publisher cracking the whip over their heads, they were free to let all of their design ideas just run wild and unchecked by things like deadlines or budgets, and then all of a sudden all that money they were flush with just vanished.

Mmmmm, can you taste that Design Creep? Tastes so good....

Probably so the mother can sit there and listen as her son recounts the mental steps in his head about exactly why he thinks it's okay to visit rape upon another woman.

Brilliantly stated!

I simultaneously want and don't want this to get crossposted to Kotaku. Like, I WANT those children to see this, but I also DON'T want GamerGate to burn her house down...

I read that as "The Full Proof Guide to Banging Your Family" and thought to myself 'well...everyone always has at least ONE Hot Cousin...'

Dude's probably getting a fucking book deal in a few years too.

I understand that Apologists will run down their usual excuses for things like this happening but frankly none of what they say are valid excuses.

So another person who was morally and justifiably correct admits, forever on record, to being wrong in order for the Status Quo to remain unshaken.

If you need me, I'll be finishing off all the alcohol in my house.

"Once again, you're trying to use these cases to prove that all gun owners are eventually going to kill people to push your political agenda, instead of staying objective and examining the facts."

No, I'm not. Again, Responsible Gun Owners have never killed or hurt a single innocent person. Fact.

Well she was, technically. She did all the Responsible Gun Owner thing: She followed the background check procedure, she legally purchased the firearm, patiently followed waiting period protocol...

Of course not, she was waving the gun around and being irresponsible. That's what I'm saying, only Irresponsible Gun Owners have accidents. That's why the track record of Responsible Gun Owners is 100% flawless.

I'm going to throw this out there every single time I hear of people in the industry being jerked around, forced to work 70+ hours a week, and constantly being fired after successful completion of a product. *YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE TREATED THIS WAY* stop thinking this about yourselves, and about your industry.

But you seen, she WAS a responsible gun owner...right until the point where she had an accident, then she became an irresponsible gun owner. And since she became irresponsible, we can still claim that no responsible gun owner behaves this way.

The logic is flawless! :D

Boom, got 'em!

I've got a friend in Toronto that will fight you to the death if I show her this. She's vicious, watch out ;)

"Part of punishing a child is not to do it at the moment of a transgression, but to wait until that transgression has passed until a more opportune moment arrives, this way the child has no idea why you are behaving the way you are. A perfect example is as follows:
Your young 6 year old daughter mouths off to you.

I just invited this picture over to my Facebook for a tea party, and all my insane relatives are speeding over in 5...4...

Sadly, I think the bulk of the responsibility for preventing things like this is going to be on myself and my fellow men to try and not raise the Brians of the world to think the way they do.
