I’ve been waiting 22 years for this clip to be relevant, and now it finally has happened!
Speaking as someone who loves Picard more than any character, in anything - like, I can straight up trace huge parts of who I am back to watching him in TNG as a kid - I’d be absolutely delighted if this show handled him as well as TLJ handled Luke.
MVP of the show? Davos Seaworth.
honestly if anyone should do the fountainhead it’s snyder. he’ll totally miss all of the themes and subtext and just make two hours of flashy nonsense. i’m in.
I think the middle-reading is that Drogon took his ball and went home. Mom can’t have the Iron Throne? Ha! Now NOBODY can!
Or In Bloom by NirVANa.
One of David Tennant’s finest line readings of all time: “Et tu, Headless Man-Horse?”
Brewster’s agent reportedly broke the good news by asking the star “Ya get that thing I sent ya?”
I remember Glee fondly, not because I liked it, but because my brother watched and rapidly became more and more disenchanted until eventually sliding into downright hate-watching. So every week I could ask “Hey what happened this week on Glee?” and set him off on a tirade about how awful all the characters and plots…

Long history of that stuff here. Articles about a could-go-either-way upcoming release for weeks, then it lands with a muffled thud.
I don’t play the games, and I didn’t even care much for the original Resident Evil film, but I enjoy the no-frills Jovovich-killin’-zombies action in most of the sequels, the third and fourth movies especially. They’re just fun B-movies with a decent amount of craft. The Highlander directed the third one!

I don’t know the difference in bandwidth caps between their various services, but maybe HBO Now has a higher one? I watched it with the on-demand episode through Amazon Prime’s version of HBO, and this is the first episode I’ve ever seen with this kind of compression artifacting in the multiple seasons I’ve watched it…
There’s a thing called the car radio test. Once you’re done mixing a song you listen to it on the cheapest, shittiest speakers imaginable because that’s how most people will hear it. If it still sounds good, you’re gold.
In many peoples’ cases this was 100% an encoding issue. The blacks were these shitty, pixelation-plagued bands of gradients instead of anything looking remotely HD, and the storm clouds were even worse - there were as many pixelation blocks as there were snowflakes! Whenever you’d get anything remotely well-lit and…
This is a horrible take; they signed on to adapt existing works after having been reassured by the author that the books would be finished on time. GRRM said in 2011 that the next book would take “about three years” to write and his publisher has said that they were expecting to publish late 2015 early 2016. This was…
