That’s interesting. I have significant interest in Star Wars (prequels, not so much), and I was pretty surprised at how little anything in the trailer excited me. The only reason I’m probably going to see this is that Donald Glover as Lando is some so-genius-it-seems-obvious casting. Well, that and myStar Wars

I discovered this last week and just wanted to share it because it’s really cool and I don’t remember seeing it covered here, a Season 2 promo drawn by Legion’s co-creator Bill Sienkiewicz in the style of the Egon Schiele self-portrait featured prominently a few episodes back.

I know this for sure, my initial thought years ago when I heard SyFy had gotten the airing rights for The Expanse (over other interested parties which included HBO) has come back with a vengeance, and my distaste for SyFy will now never die.

I love when screenwriters name their characters something (hello, Professor Michael Faraday) that they think is incredibly clever but in reality it just makes the audience smash their heads against a table

Yeah, that whole “M-Word” speech was really tone deaf. And of all people Bendis had the best rebuttal to it.

This reminds me of how in Remender’s run of X-Force, Deadpool was a sort of moral center of the team who objected to Fantomex killing Kid Apocalypse the first time.

Cool Kids looks like Fox circa 1995. All they need is a talking stuffed rabbit voiced by Bobcat Goldthwait.

And while we’re at it, Resurrection isn’t so bad, either.

“Sometimes” dodgy effect work? Alien Dog, the lame-ass attempt at one-upping the Queen in Aliens, is almost always seen in laughably primitive CGI (which is no excuse with a franchise film when Jurassic Park was not so far away) when we’re not watching tedious, unclear and repeated-shot chases through boringly bleak

I have tried to give Alien3 multiple chances to change my mind but I can’t. It’s not a good movie. The “Director’s Cut” is slow and turgid while the theatrical cut is often a confused mess and, behind both, is story that is neither engaging nor original.

AN INTERESTING ARGUMENT. IT IS STILL A BAD, BAD MOVIE, FAILING IN ALL THE WAYS THE FIRST TWO WORKED. I WILL GRANT THAT THERE ARE GOOD PERFORMANCES IN IT.

Her Random Roles with Nathan Rabin from 2009 is a must-read:

The global success of Top Gear means we are all keenly aware of Clarkson’s Brobdingnagian propensity for being a complete ass.

He’s one of your greatest cultural ambassadors!

These guys were okay together but they’ve got nothing on Ebert & Ignatiy.

This is like trying to find the Riddler trophies in the Arkham games. Sometimes it’s not fun to spend so much time on nothing.

That’s what they told you...

Can we get Olyphant and Goggins back together?

Syfy should have kept it just for the rub alone, since they are trying to change their image and The Expanse is the cornerstone of that strategy. Easy for me to say, but this is counterproductive to that strategy.

As funny as Bitch Hunter is, I think my favorite joke about it is the tangential reveal that NBC is such a monumentally incompetent organization that they aired it a second time, necessitating the TGS Mother’s Day show.

Deadpool’s Guide to Super Villains from Unbeatable Squirrel Girl. For the heroically inclined who need a quick exposition on who they’re fighting, this guide provides enough info to get their life’s story and power set without having to Google it mid-fight.
