I’m enjoying this season, but everything happening in the future timeline is really messing with my head. I guess that’s the point. At this point I’m just really scared of Mo Collins and impressed by Ólafur Ólafsson.

I’m visiting my parents for the weekend — helping my dad with some work on the roof before the winter really hits. Which usually means we’ll watch some movies from the seventies.
Couldn’t agree more.
It’s the same old MacFarlane problem for me. I enjoy so much of what he enjoys, so get most of his references and am looking for the same sense of future and exploration in my SciFi as him.
I can’t disagree with anything Kumail said. That sense of, “I didn’t even consider what bad things someone could do with it.” can be really strong with engineers and developers. This just makes me think of http://wewantplates.com. Because nothing says appetizing like eating food off a shovel.
Great article Alex!
As someone who’s not a fan of horror movies, but really likes metaphorical analysis of religions I can’t tell whether I’ll love or hate this.
Can you expand on that? I’m not really familiar with whatever group-think the fandom has falling into.
