While FFVII had wildly varying art quality due to the newness of polys and Square’s cutting edge approach, I found the very small bits of JENOVA to be pretty terrifying in how they were presented; either as a vaguely humanoid form here or in other parts of the game where it seemed like a Deep Lord horror.

The completely easy way to handle this:

he has Poster’s Disease and it’s immensely entertaining

I feel like this statement could be qualified a bit more.

I grew up in Ohio. The entire state has a ‘flavor shield’ around it, to stop strong tasting things from getting in. At Chipotle, they warn you that the beef and steak are spicy (not because of any of the sauces, just the marinade)

Hard agree. They build em out to be huge and there’s always a line of cars wrapped around the building. Perfectly average chicken, and their founder family and politics suck.

I think it’s a combination of things. A genuine mental issue of some kind, the unfortunate death of his mother that he still hasn’t squared away, and himself being ignorant of a lot regarding things like civics, history, ‘being online’, etc.

Yes, with modern controllers being so technical, this is absolutely warranted.

Hm. Now that I’ve thought about it too hard, it would be quite easy for Peter’s cell provider to associate his phone to Spidey by analyzing which cell towers it’s hitting and when. The phone that is traveling way faster than traffic allows and is crossing diagonal everywhere is probably it

If the law wanted to be incredibly petty about it, just about any modification to a vehicle isn’t allowed unless it is cleared by DOT and very few things are.

not only that, sanctifying fan stuff is incredibly messy from a business and business ethics standpoint so basically no one does it. So when someone comes up with an amazing concept, often it’s blacklisted by the developer so they don’t run afoul of being accused of plagiarism (both for public image and legal reasons)

It is phrased oddly however, saying just ‘Toyota Camry’ may confuse it with Toyota’s Nascar ‘Camry’, so it makes sense to point out that instead of the pace car being another Nascar car, it’s just a street Camry

You are technically correct, the best kind of correct.

no one, and you’ve missed nothing. but that’s how non-sequitur humor works; there’s no reason or rationale behind this idea. that’s why it’s funny

I disagree, but agree with you and previous statements about Cadillac being a unique statement of American excess.

Most motorcycle inline 4 engines are flat plane. Almost every car V engine is cross plane. I imagine there are practical reasons why flat plane cranks are not used in more cars and I’m going to guess it has something to do with the problems of increasing reciprocal mass, or maybe raw fuel rate consumption (?) I’d

I agree and think it’s a real and growing problem, as a percentage of gamers that have basically made gaming the touchstone of their lives in time and or intensity becomes larger in the overall makeup of all gamers. When you have people who play games as one of or the main part of their identity, they become involved
