Many of these tips are also good when working with an elderly person with physical impairments or vision loss. You can provide some useful assistance without making them feel infantilized. Say "do you see that step up ahead?" then give them a little time to problem solve instead of rushing in.

Missing my favorite way to enjoy: dried out for a couple weeks so they are chewy and crunchy on the outside, but still soft on the inside. Delish.

I just started playing around with ReelGood.com and its app. It seems to do a lot of what this does. Also lets you track TV shows and the episodes you still have to watch. It lets you create a list of movies that aren’t even on any of your services so they show up if or when they are available. And I assume Plex must

Would now like to see a followup on how to clean this muffin tin, because I’m pretty sure that is sort of a project.

Completely disagree. Most ‘Dumb things’ are people in fact learning. People commenting on a company-wide email, or saying the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong person. They don’t know any better.

Most ‘Dumb things’ occur, because we make silly assumptions that our children know things they don’t know. Even

If there was an accident or incident of some kind but the person wasn’t in imminent peril and you sought to give them aid anyway, hurting them in the process, you could be held accountable for that. Don’t let that dissuade you from helping out in a real emergency, of course, but take a split second to assess if

It’s always funny to me how people rush to comment how much they hate a certain food/drink/song/TV show, as if anyone cares. The always hilarious and not-at-all-played-out “step 1: throw them in the trash” is usually a common contender. That hasn’t been a fresh take since the Reagan Administration. No one on the

Can’t believe you forgot the best possible use: Finding the Speed of Light:

Add JustWatch to the list of “also does that.” Their Apple TV and iPhone apps are great for keeping a single “watch list” that covers all your streaming options.

I am not your parents, but I can imagine they would have the same questions as me... what is Plex and why didn’t the post have a paragraph spelling it out? For example, does it cost anything? Is it a website or a phone app? Does it work on the TV? What’s in it for them? How do they make money off of my Hulu password?

Yes my Fire Stick does this - and even for some more obscure services like Viki right next to Netflix and D+.  Not owning a lot video media I am not sure why I’d hassle with Plex.

I think this is a great feature for Plex users, but I’m a little confused how it’s different from Reelgood, which also lets you search for titles and tells you what streaming services they’re available on, as well as filter by the services you’re already subscribed to.

It is headed in the right direction but as of yesterday you still need to exit Plex, open the app it tells you to watch the item in and find it there.

Just commenting to appreciate that this isn’t a slide show! Thanks!

A local bar has a BLT with shredded cheese and onion, and it is the best BLT I’ve ever had. But otherwise, your opinion is exactly right. Cheese should be decided on a case-by-case basis.

According to Taste of Home, “an 8 oz block of cheese yields more grated shreds than an 8 oz bag of pre-grated cheese, making it a much better choice for anyone on a budget.”

Have you tried a bit of shredded cheddar on a hot dog?

> Toasters take up to much counter space

Your oven does a fine job at around 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes

Toasters make toast better than all of those other appliances. My toaster oven does a fairly decent job with my Eggos, but nothing beats the consistency and ease of a toaster for turning bread into toast.
