This is great advice, but where you do you go find an actual expert to fit you, as opposed to some random employee with maybe three minutes’ training?

Unless your boyfriend agrees to also wear something strapless, he doesn’t get to decide that you have to. :)
Hooray for sanity!
I work with a lot of weddings, and it seems like people truly believe that strapless dresses are universally flattering, especially for bridesmaids. Which is baffling to me, because only people with one very specific body type (i.e. you really haven’t got very much on top that needs support) really…
I don’t understand why it isn’t obvious to people that, as a billionaire, Trump is the establishment. He practically owns the establishment. He belongs to the class of people who establish the establishment.
I kind of enjoyed this show’s cheerful lack of concern for the integrity of the supposed source material (they routinely quote the non-existent book of “Revelations”, which is such an obvious mistake that it’s kind of adorable). It’s not a great show for watching, but it’s always been good for…
To be fair, my guess is that most of the students who signed the petition have now spent less time on this than the average commenter in this thread. It doesn’t take a lot of effort to sign a petition.
I kind of wish we had thought of this when a wealthy “benefactor” started giving random incomprehensible and/or ugly sculptures to my colllege. One of them was also by Henry Moore. It was much, much more pointless than this one.
I mean, I wouldn’t have put a whole lot of effort into it, but I bet a lot of people…
These days it’s pretty standard for teachers, professors, pastors, camp counselors, and so on to be taught to do this all the time, because it helps to protect you from false accusations. Unless there’s a window in the door, you leave the door open.
Also, for what it’s worth, even if there isn’t enough evidence to actually fire a professor with tenure, it is extremely easy for the administration to make his life miserable if they so choose. If they dislike him enough, they can also make it nearly impossible for him to ever get a job anywhere else.
Of course Ian McKellan is the guy who would be classy enough to actually give back the money. <3
Humans have been modifying the genetics of our food through selective breeding for forever. Just because it’s now done with precise intention and not mostly by accident, that’s supposed to make it more dangerous?
There are things to be concerned about with GMOs, but those things have to do with business practices, not…
Actually, careful consideration is required for GMOs. Whereas with the old-fashioned method, you get much bigger changes, genetically speaking—and no particular scrutiny is required.
Are y’all aware of the folks who did this on Twitter last month under the hashtag #WhitenessHistoryMonth ? There’s some good stuff there that you might find useful, and I bet the folks who did it would be happy to support you.
There is also the #WhitenessHistoryMonth hashtag on Twitter, which appears to be only coincidental to the Portland college thing. Here’s an article about it (it was last month, by the way):
That’s awesome, I’ll try that, thanks!
Well, they always let me through, so they must have some way to tell. There should be some way to automate that, even if it’s as simple as adding my passport info to a database so I don’t get flagged next time. They wouldn’t have to run everyone’s info that way—just the people who come up with common names.
It’s…
True, but sometimes you can pick a seat that’s closer than the one you were randomly assigned (or than what was available when you booked).
The last time I flew I went online in advance and updated my seat assignment to have an aisle seat. Someone else could’ve then updated their seat assignment to take my old seat,…
Unfortunately, nothing can really save me when I’m returning to the U.S. via an international flight. I always get flagged for extra questions because I have a common name. (Since common names are, by definition, common, you’d think they would have figured out an alternative to this by now.)
So, gummy vitamins, but with caffeine instead of vitamin C or calcium?
Is there any actual evidence that “most” girls fantasize about their future weddings?
